One thing I've noticed is that some images that were displayed side-by-side are now "stacked." I tried to fix it, but couldn't see a way, as the URLs are now not displayed in the edit function, as they were before.

Remember to hit enter between images, that should do it. Also you can infinitely change the size of the window using the smaller / larger arrows on the top right of the message editor which might help, when you make a long post. And I know you do ![]() You can also switch off the wysiwyg editor via the last option under 'edit options' in your profile so it doesnt show the picture as you compose the post, just the urls.

Thanks, Steve, I tried all of that and even tried changing the image size at picturetrail, but nothing seemed to help. "Vertically" oriented images fit the page, and don't stack; but, those oriented horizontally do. The appearance is that they don't fit the page when side by side, as they did before.

Steve, I wonder if it would make a difference if the blue field, on the left side of the page, were reduced, slightly. It appears to me the photos are stacking because there is not quite enough page width, at present, to equal what was available, before. V.

Ahh I see... you wanted them side by side and not stacked. I initially read it as the other way round. Having side by side images is not really a good idea, people use different sized monitors and if you force pictures to be side by side then those using smaller monitors will have to side scroll, which is very bad for usability. I expect this new software automatically corrects that issue whereas the old software didnt. I rarely saw any side scroll on the old board but then I use a 24" monitor, I expect it was an issue for many though when pictures were side by side. Re page width, the board is set to fluid width rather than fixed. So, it fills 100% of a users screen in all cases regardless of monitor size. This way the forum is usable whether you view it via a huge monitor or a tiny cellphone. Altering the relevant percentages of column width's wouldnt achieve what you're seeking.

The avatars didnt carry over with the upgrade to the new system. You can add an avatar via your profile yourself (click on the user CP link), or send a pic to me with a note of your username and I'll add it for you.
