| I pretty much have read the reviews for just about every large resort in Cancun and the Rivera Maya region. The reviews for this place are up and down with more positive than negative. Most of the negative reviews are really nothing to worry about, maybe some dated rooms and service is a question, but it seems that it is mostly people that just are never satisfied and never will be satisfied. The only thing that might be a question is location. It is a bit far, from the airport so expect a long ride. I am actually staying in Akumal myself in a few days, I believe that my resort is very close to the Palladium. If I find out anything while I am down there, I will give you a report a couple of weeks.

| We just returned from one week at the Colonial. We had an AWESOME time!!!!!! Weather was hot, but perfect, food was fabulous, and we are already looking at dates in November when we can return. There is a lot of walking involved, so prepare yourselves, especially if you're not accustomed to walking a lot (we run a health club, so no big deal). People were super friendly, we took wayyyyyyy too many clothes, and spent very little money. Never even left the resort! Jennifer |

| Have stayed at colonial and white sand area. will be going back in 2 weeks. I enjoy this large resort and the unlimited ala cartes. We use private transfers for a quick ride form the airport. |
