| I've just been research the prices for XCaret. Is it worth it? And is there a min age requirement for the swim with dolphins? Our daugther is 6. Thanks. |

| Yes very worth it, Best zoo park I'd ever been to anywhere! I don't know about age req. for the dolphins. The show at night is amazing! If you have never been, its one of the top things you have to do in Mexico. Darren

| Over priced? Absolutely!! Costs way more than it should! Would I do it again? In a heart beat! The photos, videos and memories that my wife and kids (and me) came away with will last a lifetime. I dare anyone to swim with the dolphins and NOT smile. |

| I've been there twice and will definitely go back. It's not like anything you'll find in the States. Make sure you do the "tour of the underworld"--they don't advertise it well in the park, but they take you through caves and to a lake where costumed actors surround you, acting out Mayan rituals! |

| In my opinion, Xcaret is better than Xelha, offers far, far more. And definitely worth the price. Be sure to get the Xcaret "Plus" package which includes your food, if you buy the buffets separately they're like $30 USD!! Much better off getting the package deal....

| The only way to really know if it's worth it is to think about what you really want to do on your trip. Xel Ha is all aboutsnorkeling, so if that's your priority, it would be a better choice for you. (I'm afraid of fish Xcaret is more diverse, and it's geared toward looking at animals and exhibits and seeing shows. There are horse shows, Mayan ceremony re-enactments, the big night show, and probably a lot more I haven't found. There is also some snorkeling and the cenotes to swim in if you can take cold water. If you're interested in a day off the resort with some interesting things you wouldn't see at home, it's definitely worth the money. Also, you can swim with dolphins there, but that's extra. You didn't ask about Xplor, but just to compare, it's more about activities and adventure, with zipline tours that can take 2-3 hours, ATV rides, and cenotes you can swim or raft in. It's definitely worth it if you're looking for something more active. Have fun on your trip! |
