ocean maya .... adults only????

I just read that the Ocean Maya H10 is going adults only as of May 1, 2011.

Has anyone been there? Reviews? Comments?

From what I have found, it has been recently refurbished somewhat and is quite small'ish.

Would love to hear from anyone ....

We went there summer of 08.

Pros:

Pretty grounds and buildings, nice location if you want to be out of Cancun but not too far from it or Playa. Lots of European guests contributed to a feeling of being far away and exotic.

Cons:

Beach is awful. Murky sand and water--feels like an oil spill happened there. Food is bad and remarkably repititive. Staff is unmotivated and lazy, not to speak of being unfriendly. More mosquitos than I've ever seen in any of my 30-40 trips to Mexican beach resorts.

Thanks - have friends that just booked there and are going in a couple of weeks. Based on yours and a few other reviews - I will wait to see what they think.

Please let us know too.Were booked there in July. I booked this resort based on the fact that i couldn't really find any bad reviews on it.Keep us posted.
