|  Diving ???? Hello everyone, looking for help with great dive sites in either Cancun or Cozumel. It's my third time to Cancun, but I'm a novice diver, my honey is a, expert (professional), where would you take him? Any good website?  |

|  Cozulmel... We dove the playacar reef in may and it was fantastic. One of the nicest dives I have had in 30+ years in the sport.

| Just hook up with most any operator in Coz. They all dive it. You might check out Dos Ojos Cenote as well. Good luck.

| I copied this from another thread that I posted to ....... we have used 2 dive companies in Cancun - Scuba Caribe out of Riu Caribe (Alberto was our Dive Instructor for Advanced Certification Course) was very good. We were staying at the Riu Caribe so it was very convenient, but Scuba Caribe operates out of the Riu Cancun and the Riu Palace which are closer to your hotel. We booked ahead of time on the internet so it was a bit cheaper and had no problem with the bookings at all. They were efficient and helpful on the boats and we found that the diving right off of cancun from the hotel with the dolphins (???? can't remember the name - DREAMS I think) was really quite nice - strong currents - but a variety of life and terrain to see. we used Scuba Cancun ($10.00 cab ride down the road) when we stayed at Temptation - it is across from where the Captain Hook Pirate Dinner Cruise goes out of - and the ferries to Isla Mujeres. Again - booked ahead of time on the internet - no problems with bookings - they were fun and courteous and we had no problems at all. The weather was not the best - but that is out of their control - they did their best. Of the two I think that Scuba Caribe has the edge a bit - maybe because they operate out of the hotels and "babysit" a little more. Help carry gear, set up equipment (but never forget to check it yourself!!!!) and help you in and out of boat. hope that helps! have fune! |

| Thanks a bunch again for all your help. I'm hoping he (and I) get some good dive in, which of course means we won't be drinking, but this is def. a diving trip  You've given me a lot more to look into.M.  Cuba Villa Reviews |

| Check Trip Advisor for dive operations in Cancun I found these guys to do my open water check out dives...and have been back twice since....Octavio, Clemente....are pros and treat everyone like family...
