Default Need some Tulum help.....

My brother-in-law and his wife are planning a stay at the La Vita e Bella hotel in Tulum in March.

I'm good with what to do and how to get around in Cancun but other than Xel Ha and the ruins at Tulum, I'm at a loss of what to do in the area. He'll have a car so he'll be mobile.

So wondering if you all can help me out and let me know what I need to tell him about to make his anniversary trip really good.

Thanks....

Jamie

I like Tulum a lot but it´s hard to give advice without knowing someone's interests. Tulum.info is a good site and should be helpful to him. Having a car makes it easy to explore the town and beach areas as well as Sian Kaan, well worth a day trip.

Thanks.... I'm not sure of his interests either except some snorkling and maybe some deep sea fishing. I'll check out the site.

Thanks again...

This area is one of our favourites. With a car he can go along the beach road. About 500 m-1 km from the ruins along the beach road is the fishermans cooperative and bar. Perhaps one of the best beaches I have ever seen. Further along the beach road are all the small hotels 5-15 rooms. Stop in at Las ranitas- best guacamole around. The beach in front here has lots of waves. A little further closer to Sian Kaan are lots of small hotels with a wide, deserted (except for the topless and nude beach walkers) beach. Then go through Sian Kaan to Punta allen. Lots of great beaches to stop and have a swim. Then in Punta allen there is great fresh fish. If they are into ruins, Coba is very easy to get to from there.
