Trip report !

We did a short stay Just to feel it out, were in Cancun on a business thing so we wanted to check out TTR to see if it was something that we'd be interested in, and the stay would be short enough that if it wasn't our thing we'd still make it through OK. We'd never did an adult vacation, the whole top-free thing was a little edgy. For about 15 minutes after we got there.

All I can say is: WOW!

We made it through the early? check-in being told to come back at 3 & enjoy the facilities, were immediately accosted by the timeshare girl who gave us the 10 minute spiel and offered to give us the tour and future trip arrangement deal the next morning in exchange for a $50 coupon. We declined and after giving us directions we were off, no pressure, no follow-up, just fun.

We were met as soon as we entered the pool area by Mike and Dee who showed us around and introduced us to the Cancuncare crowd (and my favorite mid-westerners) and in no time we felt as though we were at a reunion of old friends instead of meeting people for the first time. About half the ladies went topless, mostly no one seemed to notice, the most relaxed crowd I've ever seen. Considering all the beautiful people there it was amazing, no one was ever out of line, no gawking, staring or discomfort.

The pool was too cold, the music was a repetitive techno-dance that seemed to not really fit the crowd. The restaurants offered everything from bland buffet to fine dining, depending on your willingness to wait for reservations or simply eat. That said, no meal was the least bit bad. The seafood restaurant and the Maragarita's Grill were awesome and there was never a wait. The rooms were adequate, if a little small. The bed was too firm for our spoiled taste (sleep number bed rules!). But it was spotless and the shower was awesome, they filled my request for the fridge every day- 2 waters, 2 diet cokes, 4 cervasas. We rarely drank in the room, mostly just there to shower & change clothes, with the occasional wrestling match between....

The staff was always friendly, we spread $2 bills around constantly and were greeted whether just walking by or getting a drink. When we went in for breakfast at the buffet our coffee was there quickly, Alfredo at the sexy pool always put on a show and Veronica made sure our cups were never empty. A little love really goes a long way here!

Friends were everywhere if you were willing to offer a drink or simple conversation. Truly the friendliest place we've ever been. Mike & Tracy, Carolyn & Darolyn (Ha), Chris & Tammy, Carol & Tex, Stacey & Chris, Jeff & Beth, Lee & Gail, Mike & Shelly, Gerry my new hunting buddy and his much better half, several Harolds and their brides, the entire Canadian contingent just to name a few! always had a story, kind words, an invite to share a meal and conversation made us feel welcomed and warm. You can't come here and not have a good time with good people!

The night pool was never a consideration, water was waaay too cold and by the time we were ready for dinner the party was on, different faces & names every night and the bars were wild! School girl night ended with lots of girls wearing much less than the scanty clothes they came with, several cans of whipped cream being spread around and licked up and new friendships being made. Sheer Night didn't get quite as many participants but Tammy showed us her version was better. The single guys at the bars were respectful and complimentary, the few single girls were hot by any measure. When it was dark it was party-time, and we were never the first to leave, but it seemed there were plenty with more stamina than we had! I would recommend they have the band play every night, they were really good and encouraged everyone on the dance floor.

Leaving was almost painful with promises to our many new friends that we would be back and see them again. The resort makes an effort to allow an extremely sexual party atmosphere without allowing it to turn into anything uncomfortable and it's amazing how they pull it off. It's the people that really do it, and we loved every minute of it.

We can't wait to go back, but we want all our new friends to join us!

Thanks for the great trip report. We are going back in June for our 3rd time and seem to have a better time every time. Your description was very accurate. Always great to read that people that have been there for the first time shaare our love for this place & like us cant wait to get back!

the music that they play is not called techno. Techno disappeared in the mid 90's. It's called House Music and it's the dominant dance music genre all over the world.

I agree that the sport (middle) pool was cold. If that was heated it could be ideal for some late night fun.

Spot on Trip Report - couldn't agree more ..... techno/house/garage/shed music was surpassed by the band every time ......... We certainly met the friendliest bunch of new friends we could ever have hoped to meet. We can't wait to go back although could it ever possibly top our first time? We are already looking for deals to return! Was great to meet you guys.
