I'd be all for some camping! but whats this talk of motorhomes?

Unrelated note (well.. still related to partying) Any of you country music fans? ...Craven is one hell of a party.

Does glennifer lake have showers and toilets. Only roughs it so far. But I do like the idea that is half way between Edmonton and Calgary. I guess this means I may have to keep my tent trailer a little longer. Glenn was planning on selling it to a friend. Hey maybe just rent a good trailer for the weekend or does Glennifer lake have cabins too?

I'll check on what facilities are available but maybe not till we get back from Temptation.

There aren't any rental cabins. There are three trailer resorts on the lake. Two are private and the other is public but will have noise restrictions. There are also at least two other camping areas I know of but not sure what facilities are available. Renting or borrowing a trailer would be a good idea.

I sing and play country music (and some other stuff) and can bring my guitar along.

We have a shower in our trailer that others are welcome to use...pay no attention to that blinking red light near the round glass thing in the ceiling...lol

well the pontoon boat is starting to sound fun ...we have a boat too ..nothing killer but hey ...gets us on the lake ...would keep us and another couple floating around between trips to Brewsters for bathroom breaks.....Who might be joining the lovely Mr and Mrs Scufty? yes it has a motor and a cooler

Scufty... just logged on to cancuncare for the first time in months and was checking out the threads... I saw the Western Canadians thread and somehow knew you were involved! I'm a little hurt that this is the first we've heard of the "Temptation in Alberta" plan, so definitely keep us updated!

I have done some research. There are three group sites, divided by trees for privacy. I checked on availability in August. Site "C" is available the weekend of the 27/28 and is closest to the water.

There aren't many amenities available. Only "Pik toilets" which apparently are like outhouses only much cleaner, and well water.

There is a $160.00 reservation fee which I believe includes 5 camping sites for one night. Each trailer/tent is $20.00/per night.

If we wanted electrical it would be easy to rent a "gen set" for the weekend. That would enable us to use the showers in trailers (with the holding tank water).

The site are located on this map beside the South Boat Launch camping area.

So..... it's an option to consider if that would work for everyone

Hey this is a thought we hava an acreage out by sandy beach... we would have privacy, we have a hot tub... and hope by then a pool. We have enough room for campers tents etc. and it doesn't cost a thing... just talked to the old man and he's into it... so just another thought and invite... Not sure you from the south would want to make it up here for the trip.... anyways your all welcome. Water/ Beach, we are by Sandy Beach and not far from Alberta Beach.. everyone would be more than welcome...just a thought

And you won't hurt my feelings if you guys don't think its a good idea... just putting it out there.
