Didn't you start all these polls with your post, "Are you swingers" which you posted on January 26th? You can't really complain if others ask similar questions. I saw that hardrocktampa's post was moved along with a few others to the Temptation Chatter section. Shouldn't your post also be moved? Besides this makes for interesting and informative reading. Your post has been viewed more than 8000 times. People are obviously interested.

My original poll was a serious attempt to answer a question that's been debated here and on other boards such as tripadvisor for years 'is temptation a swingers resort'.

Since then we've had:
- how do you like your tits
- how do you maintain your pubic hair
- how big a dick do you like (I deleted that one)
- is your wife bi
- tell us your sexual fantasies
- benefits of viagra

Not sure what they have to do with the hotel.

I know some people like to chat about that kind of thing, but for everyone that does there's another who doesnt and the hotel forum is not the place for it. So all I'm saying is if it is really necessary (and I personally dont think that it is) then please keep such threads to the chat forum so people who dont like them can avoid them.

I would have to say I am one of the ones who agrees with Steve. From my point of view as a single guy who mostly travels alone, had I only read some of the forum topics I would have probably come to the conclusion that TTR is a swingers resort.

It's not a lifestyle that I have been involved in and I don't know if I would be ready for that to be honest. All the power to those that do if swinging is something you are in to.

My limited knowledge of swinging is that obviously single men are in most cases not 'welcome to the party' so to say. Single women? Of course. Again I see the logic behind it.

I can safely say though as a single male traveller I have no desire to go somewhere that I would be in my own cast off group or worse yet by myself. I can do that at home LOL.

My experiences at TTR have always led to me being a part of a group, often within an hour or two. And obviously I want to keep seeing single people come to this resort. Who knows maybe I will find a single lady who sees some redeeming or handsome quality in me that's enough for a night or two or vacation or longer experience / relationship.

Many of the sexual threads really do tend to be frequented by swingers more often. To the outside person who may be trying to decide if TTR is a place they may want to go, they may serve to dissuade some people who are probably really interesting from coming.

All of that being I do like reading the more sexually charged threads on occasion. One of those, "How the other half lives", types of things. A little entertainment a little envy

Maybe a compromise between Steves intentions and the reality of some of the threads would be in order? Is it possible Steve to create a "Sexy Party Room" subforum inside of the chatter forum where almost anything goes? Somewhere the more sexually charged can express themselves, leaving the other parts of the forum to all of the other topics we love to debate ad nauseum?

My two cents. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone.

Was just trying to see who the HOTEL average guest was, this has been done many time throughout the years with polls a tthe Temptation forum...

I think many may have a BI female but may not be categorized as swingers.


As far as viagra goes I'm sure many people couples / single guys have had thoughts of giving it a try, i have no access or need for it here in the states, it's a one time opportunity if it can just be bhought OTC, so a valid question IMo, but should have been put in chatter.

Thats totally different dude. Steve's post was to answer a long debated question about how many swingers go to the hotel(very hotel related). And i must admit that if someone came on this site and seen all these sexually charged threads(doesnt bothere me at all), they might get the totally wrong idea about what Temptation is all about. Same way most travel agents make it sound like a sex destination. If you've been to Temptation before(4 times myself), you know that there isnt that many swingers there and the place is not all about having sex. Just alot of adults having a blast w a little bit of nudity.

I know you may find this strange but I (les) agree. There was a genuine reason for Steve's thread because it's a question that people have wanted answered for many years.
All the other sexual elements have actually been answered by many in other threads. A secret poll is a waste of time because people can say what they want but if they have to put a name to their answer then it would be more truthfull.

I don't know? Maybe with anonymity comes honesty. I've enjoyed reading many of your posts and appreciate how forthright you guys are. Many people are less open about such topics, for various reasons, but are very interested in learning and contributing to the discussion.

I certainly don't want the site to descend to vulgarity and appreciate all the work Steve does to maintain a place where this discussion can take place. I just felt that the "bi" question was a legitimate extension to the "swinging" question that Steve asked. I also hate to see people who are open enough to comment or ask questions being chastised for it.

Perhaps I am the worst offender because I contribute little to the conversation but learn a great deal from all of your contributions.

Can't disagree strongly enough with this. There are 81 pages of threads on the TTR resort forum and only a handfull are related to swinging. Why do people read these particular threads and then complain about them, just don't read them in the first place.
I agree with having a thread related toa bit of adult humour but just don't see the benifit in knowing if a fem from a couple is bi or not unless you were looking tohock up with them.

I agree with you. And its just in the last 2 months. remember last year when one of the moderators(micheal i think) gave Les a hard time for starting a thread about swinging? I dont have a problem with it, but it gives newbies the wrong impression about Temptation

Texas couple, I have to agree. plus there has been alot of talk about sleazy singles, in which we have never had a problem with n our 8 trips to TTR. Wonder what U call the couples that R constantly soliciting Sex with singles & other couples ? You're both right about getting the wrong impression. While it's fun to read the spicier threads, I hope that it doesn't consume CC and cause it to lose its balance.

A funny story that happened to me about a year ago. Melinda & I were at bar watching a local band play when we saw the parents of our daughter's boyfriend. We knew them, but only casually. After a couple hours (and a few beers later) the dad turns to me and says, "yeah, we were thinking about going to Temptations-we've never been to an adults only motel". I was like, "what?" He said, "yeah, I've read about it on CancunCare and saw that you're on there". My mind was racing doing a mental inventory of any possible embarrassing postings, but in the end, it was fine.

Point of the story: It's not just the people that post, it's also the lurkers.

Dan, now that you mention it I can remember that. There was a time when you couldn't mention the word swinging on the site at all. There was cancunspice at one point which was for people looking to hook up with people or share stories and pictures etc.
I think there is a place for these threads that have come up but maybe they should be in the free for all section and not linked directly to TTR.
I have commented on every sexual thread recently posted but never started one because I thought it wasn't allowed.
I think the recent threads have established these a healthy mixture of swingers, swayers and what ever else the others are called that maybe it's time toput them to bed or post them away from the TTR section.

Marsh your on 503 now, my figures were from the whole amount of threads posted on the TTR section of CC but yes I think the threads have not only increased but the response and replies have to. This may mean these a place for them but I don't think the TTR section of CC is the right place for them.
Even though we are very open about what we do regarding swinging etc it does cause problems recommending the site to others. My nephew is goingto be in Cancun with his friends the same time as us but we couldn't tell him about the site because you guys know more about us than most people back home.

Both you and I, have been regular contributors for 6 and 7 years. While some members come and go, and others only participate a few months before a trip-there are people like you and I that have a daily diet of CC. We've watched both CancunCare & Blue Bay evolve. That's why I asked for your opinion.
