Texas Reunion

A few years back, we had a couple of Texas CancunCare reunions. One was at a hotel in Dallas and the other was in Houston at a member's house. I'm thinking that we're overdue.

Just brain storming here, but I was thinking at Dallas might be a central spot and that maybe we would be able to convince a few Okies to come. Maybe we could have it at somebody's house that has a pool. Maybe that somebody could've just recently installed a new sound system for their pool......I'm trying to remember where I read of somebody like that....hmmm

Any ideas?

And I'll go out on a limb and say if we ended up with the right weekend I thin i would even pop for a few tickets to come down from Colorado.

That is of course if I was invited, not being from Texas or being an Okie...

I must say, I remember hearing something about parties in Texas....green midget leprechauns running rampant and stuff.....costumes, music and no mandingos allowed bare in the pool.......where o where was that place

Being in OKC, we could be there in less than 3 hours!!! Got some new malibustrings that need broke in and mexico is still months away!

t and i would be more than happy to do something in the fall - say halloween

its just from this time of the year forward til then its very difficult for us as

trip to ttr first of may
annual new braunfels trip end of may
summers are very busy here as i actually have to work two months out of the year

besides we do a huge halloween party weekend every year anyway and all of our local friends (whether they have been to bbg/temptation pretty much act like they have) and a large number of cancuncare people travel from all over for that party already

we would be open to doing something then and it would be very easy to incorporate it all as i begin planning this halloween party weekend around the first of september

we usually do a huge coach bus (or two) for halloween night and we travel as a group to as many as 18 different bars - doing a different theme and game every year



we have already come up with a theme for this year and its "gunslingers, golddiggas and geronimhos" and the game this year is a 10 bar scavenger hunt saggy bottom style

we also follow up on sunday with a cowboys game (if they are in town) and we have even done water volleyball games as we can heat up the swimming pool if it is too cool

we really make it an entire weekend party

but from the looks of it - you guys might be wanting something prior to that time frame and while t and i would probably not be able to do any assistance with it - we would more than likely be a part of it

okay guys everything has been set in stone

its a saggy bottom bunch / cancuncare collaboration halloween weekend party which has been named "gunslingers, golddiggas & geronimhoes"

here is the rough itinerary

friday, october 29th 1:00 p.m. water volleyball game(s) at the house
friday, october 29th 6:00 p.m. tex mex style dinner at the house
friday, october 29th 9:00 p.m. shuttle to a destination tbd for night out

saturday, october 30 4:00 p.m. scavenger hunt team draft/dinner at house
saturday, october 30 5:30 p.m. coach bus arrive at the house to pick up
saturday, october 30 5:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. halloween scavenger hunt
saturday, october 30 11:00 p.m. - after party - location tbd

sunday, october 31 11:00 a.m. bus arrives for cowboys/jags football game
sunday, october 31 12:00 p.m. cowboys/jags cowboys stadium in arlington
sunday, october 31 3:00 p.m. open all night for fun out


please note not everyone does everything and there are no obligations - pick your spots and do only the things you like

however, the bus for the scavenger hunt is already almost completely full and will be full months in advance of this weekend as it always sells out - so if you want to be a part of that you will need to let us know something very quick as 40 of the 50 spots on the bus are already spoken for

several people will ask about cost and i can only say at this time that it is all very reasonable ( i think last years bus fare pp came to about 40 for the whole night)

we buy group tickets to the cowboys game and we take whatever is available at the best price - we have friends who tail gate and if time allows will stop by there spot and hang out with them too

all of the rooms here at the house are spoken for as we have people in town from all over the country and even several from foreign countries as this is a huge party weekend with a big draw

for those interested in traveling i can get you prices to hotels close by all the activity for the weekend

we dont drink and drive we take shuttles and buses for everything we do (friday night out and to the game on sunday as well as the scavenger hunt)

we are debating on going to this place in dallas called iniquity on friday night after the water volleyball and tex mex dinner

T and have never been to a place like this ------but just thought it might be something wild crazy and different and something fun we could add to the mix

a few weeks ago when we went on our annual river trip to new braunfels one of our friends told us about this place and that we could get special treatment and everything

having never been to a club like this - not quite sure what to expect but i knew you guys would probably love it and since your coming all the way from wales - the very least we could do was pick this place for your guys

everyone else will fall in line or they can go to any one of the 3,000,000 "run of the mill" bars here in the metroplex

Hi Rob, this is Les. Just got back from a stag weekend away with the lads, so much fun. Lynfa was so excited buy the the club she made me check it out straight away. It does look amazing and should be fun but we're happy to go with the flow mate. If others aren't keen on going mate that'll be fine with us as we're just looking forward to seeing everyone again we're happy to sit in the middle of the road lol

will work it all out but as of now we are leaning this way - if others don't care to go to this place then i will get them a pass to six flags arlington and a happy meal with a ice cream cone at mcdonalds

certainly expecting a great weekend party - and as always it will be twelve miles over the top

we installed one in the house for the superbowl party and will certainly have one set up for the weekend

presently working on the after party location for saturday night

with 40 people already confirmed (a combination of saggy bottom bunch and cancuncare peeps) was hoping to leave open about ten spots for mostly cancuncare people but if there is not enough interest amongst the canuncare people we will just invite more saggy bottom folks

its just that the outer tier of the saggy bottom bunch tends to be a little bit more flaky than cancuncare people so ive held up on asking more saggy bottom bunch until i can figure out if there is any more cancuncare people interest

presently cancuncare people include:

tequila ken

april showers/hillbilly
james/lee
les/lynfa
poppy/lisa
stephen/kendra
brenda/kirby

the balance consists of saggy bottom losers

hopeful that we can find at least 10 more cancuncare people and feel sure we will

We are building an outoor concert arena with a massive stage on our property 2.5 hours west of Dallas. It will be completed by August.
