| What are the airline rules for liquids? (soap, toothpaste, ect) If anything has changed since the last time we flew. Are we allowed to take a lighter with us on the plane if we smoke? What can we bring on with us on our carry-ons? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks and see some of you in 6 days. |

| The 3-1-1 rule is still in effect for carry ons. All the 3 oz or less containers you can fit in to a 1 quart bag and 1 bag per person. As for lighters... best to pack a book of matches. Never had a problem with those. The rules for flying back can differ from flying out. For example, one through security you can buy water and take it on the plane in the US. Last time out of Mexico you could not. Rules for security were the samer though. After that, just watch people borading a plane going someplace and see if there is additional security and adjust to that. With travel today the keyword is flexibility. Go with the flow and don't fight it and you'll have a better trip. You can pack lighters in your checked bags, just if ask don't say yes you have them. Larger liquids can be checked too.Jamie |
