bikini storage/transportation

I know that we are not the only people on this board with a "little" bikini problem. For all that we spend on these things we have never been happy just tossing them into draw in a tangled heap, getting them to and from the resort in an organized manner seemed impossible. The color also bleeds on some of the bright colors so keeping them seperate is important.

Walmart to the rescue. These containers were bought in the fishing section. Made by Plano, they are the 4-15 model. I bought 3 so I had more seperators.

We managed to get 35 bikinis into the WW container. The MS/WT is still a work in progress. They fit on edge in our carry on so the bikinis are sure to make it to the resort.

It is a clever idea. I usually just stuff all of mine in a zip lock bag but then have to dig through the thing to find both pieces.

Thats is exactly what prompted this. It was just too messy having them strewn all over the room at TTR. At home it was hard to find what we were looking for.

I am pretty bored, my work is seasonal and I am not busy yet. I am thinking I can use this time to drill some vent holes so the bikinis are not in danger if they happen to not be 100% dry. I want to label the compartments but Christen thinks that may be a bit over the top.

Like I said, I get really bored in the winter. In a few weeks I won't have time to worry about any of this, it'll be 90 hours a week of setting up tents, working on my tan

OBTW, we are thinking about Dec 3-11 for our Dec trip. Then again week 8 in Feb. I am quite sure I will need a 3rd bikini box by then

I have tried to convince Christen the tops are a waste of $$ but she insists on matching even though the top doesn't last long. My solution is several bottoms per top when possible. The WW box has 37 bottoms and 27 tops. There are 5 different black bottoms and 4 yellow but only one top per. That'll teach her

WW is updating their site as I type, I am hoping the 474 wet look makes its debut so I can make the next purchase.

I am thinking of sending a picture of it to WW. I don't think it would work as an item you could buy full for a couple of reasons. 1) what goes in them is pretty individual. 2) I don't know any couple who would fork out more $$ for the box than they will spend going to TTR for week. I know I wouldn't, that box took 7 years to fill

Maybe I can rent it out?!

I have added WW stickers to the box and I have something pretty funny planned for it but that will be revealed in good time.

If Christen ever leaves me I wonder who gets the box?

The final modification is done to the Wicked Weasel Wagon. When Christen gets home with the video camera I'll post the results.

While the box idea is awesome, I usually just put each bikini in its own ziploc baggie, this keeps them organized & separate.
