Default Crazy Night

It was a crazy night here in Northwest Ohio! We had 5 tornados touch down from 10:45pm to 2:30am. Our house and neighborhood was not damaged but many friends lost everything. Just something you never think could happen to you.

Oh my god how terrible! Perhaps sometimes living in the UK isn't so bad after all.

So sorry to hear what has happened. It's true that you never think these things can happen to you! We're glad you and your neighbors weren't touched, but feel very sorry for your friends.

We live in North Central Ohio, and had Tornado warnings go off several times, but fortunately nothing developed and hopefully were out of steam by the time they got here. Sorry to hear friends had heavy losses. Which HS was it that suffered the damages. Thank God, most schools ended a day or two ago, but I know there were a lot of graduations scheduled in Ohio for Fri-Sun.

That's sad, I just saw that it was Lake High School, and that at least 5 were killed from the tornado, and that there was a graduation slated for today at the high school. We've had nothing but rain and severe storms for about 4 straight days in Ohio, so I can't wait to get to Cancun Thursday and just relax!

I grew up in Kansas and personally experienced severe weather and damage like what happened there. Fortunately I never lost a friend or loved one to the storms though. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this troubled time!

Weather across the nation has been extremly brutal this year. We are still recovering from huge floods and they are calling for more rain for a week. OK has been hit by tornados it seems like every week. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by all this destruction. We all must come together and continue to help those in need.

We are in Iowa and experince Tornado season quite frequently, the damage that can be done by these things is amazing and also makes you feel for those affected by loss of family and homes.

Our hurricane season just started. One of the scary things about a hurricane is that they always spawn numerous tornadoes. We will be listening to the weather reports (as long as the power stays on) and the ominous tornado warning notices from the National Weather Service are going off constantly.
Glad you guys came through OK and our condolences to those who were lost.

Sorry to hear of all the damage and deaths. I went to school at Bowling Green so I know what it can be like in that part of Ohio and it can be brutal at times. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your friends and family.

Thanks everyone... The death toll is now back to 5... Some how they were counting the same 2 twice. I'm so proud of all the people who have pitched in and helped! Just amazing how people can step up when needed! Columbus just shiped 10 school buses. They say somehow they are going to have a highschool by August! I sure hope so the kids don't want to shipped out to other schools. Thanks again to all who have said a prayer for these poor people who lost there homes or worse...

It is said if you dont like the weather here in Ohio, just wait a cpl min it will change!
truer words havnt been spoken!
once at TTR i was talking to a young lady from Europe, she asked me if it was scary living in Ohio, I asked why, she said becauce of all the Tornados.
at nearly 50 hvnt seen too many but plenty of high winds and thunderstorms, it is truly awful the loss of life and property.

Hi John, His friend is doing better. The rumors of her family were just that. I guess she was the only one sent to hospital but the tornado pulled her from the house. Amazing how that can happen! She was thrown into the house next door and beat up pretty bad but thank god she is alive. My family is going to spend the day tomorrow helping @ the school then we leave for vacation. Going camping for a week! Take care hopefully we will see you in Sept?

Our thoughts are with you all...
Is it just me... but I'm feeling that my American neighbors are having one hell of a tough year, bomb scare in NY, BP disaster, flooding, tornatoes to just name a few, or is it because of this site I've become more concerned. If so this is a wonderful site bringing people far and wide closer all the time.
