I don't know it this is too late but I suggest the Capri hotel, just up the road from the Sandman.

The Capri has three bars/lounges where the Sandman doesn't have much in that way ( there is a Moxie's attached to the hotel).

Pricing looks comparable, considering the Bed and Breakfast package they show on the site, at 139.00. Room only rates would presumably be cheaper.

We checked it out very nice just want to be sure where everyone is going before we book, looks like Glenn and Monique are booked at the sandman

I have stayed at the Capri many times (its decent) ...its probably your best bet and like was said ...it has a few bars attached so no drinking and driving.. Cheers ...

I have stayed at the capri many times its ok but over priced.for a quiet lounge and great food black knight inn is an option, also red deer lodge( owned by same group as mayfield inn and edmonton inn) rates from $109

Dont think we can make it either. We have been away most of the summer. Our children have tae kwon do testing in High River on the 28th. Sorry. Hey Glen and Monique, pls let us know when you are back to Calgary. Havent seen you guys since Temptations in April...

Probably won't make a trip to Calgary until after we get back from Cancun. Glenn is actually on his way there tonight. He is picking up vending machines and golfing tommorow morning.

Well well the numbers are really small... and Glenn and Monique live close to us, it would be rather silly for us to go to red deer when we are only a few miles from each other... So I guess its up to you Party Doll, pick another date and see if we can get more people?

I agree Jeff n Deb we can go to lunch anytime. It's probably better to cancel right now and maybe we should try a date that isn't in summer when everyone is out having fun at the lake or camping. Glenn says he going to cancel our reservatiion. Too bad though I was really hoping to meet all of you.

Ditto!! but we are going to have to get together glenn/monique we are rather close, Devon - Sandy Beach.
I realize you guys are heading back to TTR next month. We have booked again for Xmas/New years... So maybe somtime in between. but for the western canadians lets find a date that works for most people.

Yep figure out a night that works for you. We can go meet for supper and drinks. Out kids are 17 and 18 so no babysitter needed here.

Cool well let me know. We are gone to cancun from sept 5th -12th and have some plans plus working this weekend but after Cancun we can make it a go. Too bad we couldn't get more to go to reddeer. I just think it's the time of year. Back to school shopping and last minute trips.
