Default Motivation to work out.. 81 days to go!

Just a rant as i dream of mexico...
Been working out 3 days a week this summer, but there is nothing like a vacation deadline to help you set some new goals. May even get some abs by vacation time for the first time since my 20's!
Strict diet plan, and to the gym twice a day (cardio before work, then weights after) for 5-6 days a week.. will be soo ready for a few beers in december!
------
mmmm 52 days to go.. 10 lbs to go to hit ideal weight!

Alcohol doesn't make you fat... it makes you Lean... on tables, chairs & random ugly people.

I was just checking things out this am in the mirror... told myself better get at it!!
We've been 4 times before and I never did a thing... but when I get back and see pictures... makes me uncomfortable... so going to at least try...
1. first step... thinking about it
2. second step... do somthing about it.
I'll let you know how I'm doing on step 2..
Good luck to you at least you sound like your on the right track..

ahh.. 3 months you have plenty of time for huge changes if that's something you want to do. Not everyone's thing of course, but for me i like the challenge of staying on track. My Iphone has great apps to track progress and schedule. And i have a great reward at the end of my 90 day training, a great 2 weeks in the sun!.. (oh i think my gf will enjoy it too!)

I had the same thought as you. When I booked my vacation to TTR in July, I immediately started working out, running and dieting. The iphone apps like Lose It!, iFitness and iTreadmill have been the absolute best thing to keep me on my goals. I'm down 25 lbs and am starting to see the muscle definition in my arms and chest. Not to mention for the first time in 15+ years I actually have a 2-pack (getting close to a 4-pack). If this is all it took to get me back in shape, I need to make sure to book trips twice a year.

I just completed my first go around with insanity, the workout is nuts but completely worth it. I have two months to go so going to give it another go around and I'm attempting to run a marathon about a week before I hit ttr.

I've lost 20lbs and I've stayed pretty stable, I'm starting back up with the weight lifting to support the running so I expect to inch up some form that, but all in all I've had no complaints what so ever. My best friend and I are doing it together and he lost the same amount. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who can do it because it is extremely hard and not a novice program to be sure.

I am on my third week of P90x and it has already toned me up. I completed it last year before going to Temptations in Dec. and felt awesome when I walked into the lobby. I was 235 last year when I started and got down to 218 for vacation. I actually got down to 204 this summer because I bartend outside in the sun for 50+ hours a week. Started this round at 210lbs and have actually put on 6 pounds of muscle. Already doing 20 chinups on Friday's Leg back workout. I highly recommend making the commitment to the P90x program.

I know I'm getting up there... but what the heck is a P90x??? and where would a person get one.... to get in shape I bought a hoola hoop and just got going on that, next maybe a skipping rope and then some old fashion sit ups... I think that might do the trick... and of course diet is a huge factor so I'm told.

i used a weightwatchers diet plan and lost the 20lbs i was aiming for in about 7 weeks. And now i have a different attitude to food completely. i no longer snack all the time, and even if i do weaken i eat some ryvita crispbread instead of chocs or stodgy food. Unfortunately i suffer from arthritis so i have to be particular with the exercise i choose. Swimming is great and really benefits me. I wont have a gym bod but then i am who i am. I do know what you mean about the photos though! I always wish i had worked out more lol

I thought about starting a thread like this, too. Within the last couple of weeks, I've been hitting the gym hoping not to be the chubby guy by the pool. Biggest thing for me is diet...I downloaded a calorie tracking application on my phone, and MAN, does it make a difference in what you eat when you realize how much time you'd have to spend on the treadmill to burn it off.

3 trips a year spaced out properly helps keep us in the gym and on the right track. Hubby tore his bicep tendon 12 weeks ago, and its kept us from going on our usual October trip.

Still we love to work out and stay in shape, but it gets harder and harder as 50 years of age is coming quickly.

Congrats! I'm a stones throw away from 30 and I've been telling myself I'm not just working out or dieting but doing a lifestyle change. I just came in from my morning run. I love having the energy and endurance. I'm pretty resigned to the fact that I'll always be huggable but I'd rather be somewhat in shape and healthy.

My major problem has always been that exercise just for the sake of exercise is too much like exercise. I recently started playing softball again after a two year hiatus and we kayak almost every weekend, but a gym??? I just can't get enthused about it. Put on a bunch of pounds in a hurry after quiting smoking for thirty years, so that is what I have had to contend with. Still better off fat than with emphysema (sp?), though.

we just hit the 10 weeks to go mark and said that we need to get in 40 cardio workouts before 12/5. The countdown begins. It feels better to say 40 workouts to go instead of 70 days

OK, i confess... I am at 302 lbs at a total height of 6.67... bodyfat is at 20 percent.
I like my self , but instead of a 2/4/6-pack i have this little beer keg..... ;-)

Have to go through hard training till March 11th.

Basically there are around 5 months left,

Started today with my training plan. Involves Cardio in the early morning (8miles via bike to my work) and weights in the afternoon and then 8miles back with my bike.

My goal is to get really in shape. and go down to 5-6 percent bodyfat...
sure. the pounds will also drop, as i dont want to be a walking mountain with 300 pounds ;-).

Western Canadians are going to take over......We just need to feel the sunshine.
I'm doing a little weight watchers and 3 X's per week at the gym. It's tough but will be worth it I'm sure. 10 more weeks till sun, sand and sea. Can't wait.
Louise you'll be able to have a few more drinks on your B-Day.
Cheers!!

Here's what I use:
USPLabs OxyElite Pro - Thermogenic fat burner (new product and shown great results, just use as directed and do not overuse. is very powerful)
Jack3d Lean Muscle Supplement - pre-workout energy supplement
Gaspari Myofusion Protein powder - a few flavours. Hands down the best tasting i ever used, Just add water and its great, not gaggy like other types. Use twice a day with frozen fruit, ground flaxseeds, wheat germ.
Animal Pac Vitamin supplements - Simple pre-made packs make it easy to take (but have some huge pills in it!)

But I am working out 2x a day (cardio before work, weights 4-5 days in the evenings) so I need some extra stuff to help that along.
did alot of research so i'm confident that these are not a waste of money like some i know are.
