|  cancuncare/saggy bottom new orleans reunion october 2011 there is still much to do but we did want to go ahead and get the dates out for those interested so they can make sure they request their time off we have decided to set the dates as the weekend prior to halloween. the dates of october 21-23 2011 are established as the dates we will be doing it in the big easy was in new orleans this past week discussing options and we picked these dates over the weekend of the 28-30 primarily because of the following (1) allows people to spend time with their children, grandchildren and family for halloween (2) financial reasons - so much cheaper the weekend before halloween in new orleans (3) permits for the parade are much easier to obtain on the weekend before halloween we are presently working with a number of hotels and trying to determine our best options and will be posting information in regards to this very soon...............hoping to block out a section of a hotel or two the highlight of the weekend will be a parade/pub crawl straight through the french quarter. we are presently working with several sponsors and this will turn out to be a charity event aiding the make a wish foundation. all entry fees for parade will go directly to the charity - 100 percent so not only are we going to have a blast - we are also going to raise several thousand dollars in the process for a great charity again more information will be coming out but if your interested in attending the reunion and the parade that weekend please chime in and let us know - we are expecting between 100 and 150 people all told and will more than likely have to limit it at 150 for permit reasons we currently have about 50 verbals and i am realistically expecting over 100 rob

| WE ARE SO IN!!! Happy to hear the dates you have choosen makes it alot easier to break away. Now Rob, maybe you should plan an informal get together the first week of May in ummm...Cancun to discuss what activity will occur in the Big Easy, whatcha think?!?!? Just tell T it's a neccessary business trip and you both must attend.

Lol In all seriousness I talked with him afterwards and they are ok with it outdoors in the qtr - to an extent - then they will ask you to put it back on if it is causing problems. We have never had issues and t loves to bare them a lot I'll have to friend you on flickr lol

Now that we have got the dates - people can at least begin to start making some preliminary arrangements - Our next step is locking up a hotel then setting the route for Saturdays parade and pub crawl then securing the parade permit........hoping to wrap this part up in the next few weeks as we have some awesome contacts/sponsors in new Orleans  Will just have to take it in steps - but given a year to prepare (as opposed to three months) I'm certain that this one will blow all the others away

| I'm pretty sure we are in also, showed jeff the pic from this year that you posted and he was really impressed.. so like I said pretty sure we are in, going to start checking the flights and get an average on hotels.. Really looking forward to meeting others from CC that i didn't think we would ever meet... we always go to Temptations in the winter months D |

i remember those days too and have been going back at least once a year (friends and family in that area) for probably twenty to thirty years now its still just as much fun as it ever was - in fact our recent trip their last weekend was one of my best ever - there were about 10 of us and we had a blast  t and i closed down cosimos this night about 5:00 a.m. we literally helped the bar tender shut er down after we all ordered hamburgers, the guy delvered them (as their kitchen had been shut down for quite some time and we were all hungry) and she sat down with us and we ate them on the bar --------------- reminded me a little of those late night hamburgers at temptation made the short walk back up to esplanade as the sun was getting ready to come up here are some more pics from last weekend to stoke everyone up Flickr: Please wait...

They are very excited to be included and their total involvement will certainly make this magnificent parade all the more special The parade through the qtr is beyond words. Until you have experienced it it's almost impossible to comprehend. We will have a band which leads us from bar to bar throughout the qtr complete with a police escort & grand marshal Kat of tmac/Kat on cancuncare will be setting a theme and everyone will dress the part and we will parade and party from bar to bar all afternoon long - oh and there will also be a fun game which our sponsors will help us with

| given the fact that we are expecting at least 100 cancuncare people to attend the reunion and that we will be having the reunion in new orleans............and the charity we have selected..........we are toying with the name cancuncares who dat wish upon a star reunion party/parade this would go directly on the parade banner (with all the sponsor logos and the caption "benifitting the make a wish foundation") any thoughts? rob
