I want to get any helpful information from fellow BBG fun folks. Due to the recent passport changes unfortunately my husbands BBG days are probably done (not mine just his). Therefore, we are looking at the US Virgin Islands for our next beach break. Since everyone seems to have the same fun and enjoy BBG the way we do, does any one have any suggestions regarding the islands. Which island? (San Juan, St.Thomas, St. Croix or St. John) Where to stay? (resorts, villas, other) etc. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Since you like BBG the same way we do you know what we are looking for in a vacation!!!

| Hazel, Unfortunately I don't think you're going to find anything even remotely close to BBG in the US Virgin Islands. I've been there a few times and I would call all of my trips very relaxing. I don't think that's exactly what you and Frank and looking for. I didn't find the night life in St Croix or St Thomas to be anythging to write home about although the shopping was good...but expensive compared to Cancun. San Juan is a beautiful place and one I would dfinitely go back too. Bur again nothing comparable to the BBG atmosphere you're use to.

Thanks Karen. I've heard that same comment from several people about there being no night life. I'll still be coming to Mexico a couple times a year (sorry about your luck Frank) but at least him and I could get away and relax a little down there with some fishing and some boating and a few cocktails. Any preferences to certain island?

Karen, where did you stay when you were down there? If you can recall so I could look them up and maybe make some arrangements. I guess we will have to create our own nightlife. They say that after dinner that the islands pretty much shut down until the next day and back to the beach. Is that what you felt while there? We are planning an 8 days cruise here real soon but I know that once we get our bar bill it will cost us double to get off the boat as compared to what we paid to get on the boat. OUCH!!! Also, what is the age for BBG? 18 or 21?

Hello guys! Good to hear from you. Sorry we won't get to see you in March in Ohio. I need to get with you guys and find out your BBG dates so I can plan to go at the same time since I will be solo. You will be responsible for me!!! No fishing trips and no jagermeister. Is Laurie OK? I have sent her a couple of messages but got no reply.

Some folks just can't forget things that they should!!! When we got home and Frank was telling some of our family and friends about the "one night" they just couldn't believe that innocent me would do something like that. Like Karen said, I don't think it was actually thrown, I'm going with the excuse that my motor mechanical skills were just not up to par!! I was still shaken from the Gilligans Island boating adventure.

I've been to San Juan twice. First time stayed at the Marriott. Very nice. Second time and most recent stayed at the El San Juan Resort and Casino. Totally blew the Marriott away. Casino...spa...15 bars and nightclubs...everything you could want. Plus we hit a mid winter special and got the room at a very reasonable rate considering what they have to offer.
