That's scary, Greta...dreaming of BBG when you've yet to stay there.

If you don't watch out they'll revoke your membership in the Breakers Board and you'll end up being a regular on this forum.

I'll have a drink for you when I arrive on Thursday.

Already got 3 feet plus on the ground. Shoot, another foot or so just keeps things bright and white. A small town north of Syracuse got 110 inches.....in a week. Now that's a storm. Anyway, you need the snow to remind yourself of your college days. Safe travels to you.

Thanks...I was thinking about St Bonaventure the other day and wondering if they were snowed in.

That small town you're talking about...is it Mexico NY? I saw on the news that they have been absolutely dumped on.

The town is near Mexico, NY. I can't remember the name of it, but they just got absolutely hammered. That's always an issue on this side of the lakes. The small town above Syracuse is on what is called the Tug Hill Plateau. Hills, east of a lake that doesn't always freeze equals a lot of snow. At least we don't get hurricanes, tornados, floods, or earthquakes. Complain as we might about snow, but at least you can shovel snow. You can't shovel an earthquake or a hurricane.

LOL, Karen. I've looked at loads of pics from there, and I was helping my friend look at adults only places.. I believe that is more likely where it came from, but if I do get to go in May or August, that's probably where i'll be staying, as other peeps from this forum are usually there during that time...

Ooh do have a wonderful time on Thursday. Thanks in advance for the drink..

I've had one heck of a night.. Just getting in.. We've still got ice, and it's now starting to freeze rain a little, & i've been in the mountains.. STUCK IN THE MUD!!!!

Yep, pretty well was covered, but only forgot my cam at home, or pics would be posted too..

To beat it all, we were in a 4 wheel drive. I wasn't the driver, because if I were, we'd never been in the place we went lol...

Still had fun though... Glad to be home, warm, and now clean...

The town that got the 110 inches of snow in a week is Oswego NY. Over here on the eastern side of NY we are expected to get 24 to 36 in the next 24 hours. Sure makes us whis we were back at BBG instead of waking up to single digit temperatures.

I know.

Not sure if that makes Chris' job any easier or more difficult.

He was saying instead of taking the cruisers out, they were out in trucks with snowplows. I guess you have to do what you have to do to get the job done. Let's just say he wishes he was going to BBG right about now.

Yes that's too bad. I haven't booked May yet but hopefully it will match yours and the rest of the reunion crew dates.

I don't know Karan, there forecasting the worst winter storm here in years, and most of it's gonna hit between tonight and tomorrow morning. Up to 15 inches. We might still be digging out come Thursday.

My kids have already used most of their snow days. I can't remember even when I was a kid that they ever canceled snow as much as they have this year. Their not even closing them by the school anymore, their just closing by the counties most of the time. And they've already started closings for tomorrow and it's only 5pm.

They're saying it will be gone by WEednesday morning. But north of us up by you is a different story. You still have bad weather ahead of you.

Thankfully, I'm south enough that we didn't get the massive strom you guys are suppose to get.

It's hitting pretty hard right. There saying on tv if it's not an emergency then you shouldn't be on the roads. And there's still more to come.

I hate snow. I guess that's what we get for having 50 degree weather in Dec.

I'm going to stay at one of the hotels down by the airport tomorrow night.

I wasn't going to but with the weather I figure why chance it.

Cincy's airport has been open and running all day and the bad weather is slowly moving out of here. Tomorrow they are calling for a cloudy day here but tomorrow night will be very cold so I figure the roads may ice up again.

The closer I am to the airport Thursday morning the better.

Better to be safe than sorry.

I don't think the issue on Thursday would be the flight getting cancelled. The issue would be people not being able to get to the airport.

Well worth the money in my opinion.
