|  Topless from America OK...I am sure this has been talked about to death, but I need some advice. How many women from America have actually gone topless at BBG or plan to in the near future? (and keep in mind I am a "plus sized" woman) It seems to me in the past that a mojority of the topless women were from countries other than the US. As you can probably guess, I am very self conscious becasue of my weight. I am in the process of losing some (10lbs and counting), and have not been brave enough in the past to just do it...although I think it would be fun. And OF COURSE...my husband is begging me to. I know we all feel like people don't judge, but I feel in my heart that they are saying "put it back on"  ops: So, how do I get up the courage? Nikki

| well you've got liquid courage to help...  remember that your husband is not alone in wanting you to go topless. Men's taste in women varry... and I'm sure there will be lots of men happy to walk by you sunbathing topless...... does that help?.. |

| Most of the women we saw topless were American or Canadian. There really isn't any stigma about going topless or not going topless. In terms of size we saw everything from teeny tiny people to plus++ folks. At BBG it really doesn't matter. Some of the women who were topless were probably beyond 200 pounds. If you are comfortable with it then go for it, and if you are not then don't. But don't keep from doing it because of what you think someone else may think. BBG is probably the least judgemental place I have ever seen and noone will criticize you for taking advantage of that freedom.

| 4bidden...actually that does help...not so much the liquid courage (although there will be PLENTY of that), but your other comment... ops:I don't know why we have to be so self conscious anyway. I just paid off my trip today, so now the countdown is REALLY on!

| YinYang I feel exactly the same as you and my husband also is "begging me"..lol. I am also plus size but also have some horrid scars so I am SCARED! LOL We stayed at the Viva Wyndham Maya in the past and it is very topless there too and I never got up the nerve. Maybe BBG will do it for me! ops: |

| We were there 2 years ago and over half the women there were topless and alot of them were from the USA. My wife had never done it but it only took one day and she never put it back on. She also wore a thong and when we go back in Oct she has a smaller one :roll: |

| I understand the hesitation in going topless. Last year was my first year at BBG and I couldn't do it, no matter how much liquid courage I had (although I was able to get the courage up on Steve's booze cruise). Most of the women I saw topless were plus size. I felt courageous enough wearing a 2 piece suit! Maybe since you've been once, you will feel more comfortable and be able to do it this time. From what I hear from other women, once you've done it, you'll never want to put it back on! |

| I think that it does not matter at all what size, color, shape, or country. Sexy is in your head. If you want to do it, then by all means do it, if you don't want to do it then don't. I promise you will see more bodies that are not perfect than perfect ones but the choice is yours. No matter what your decision is, you will not be judged at BBG/ |

| Just remember the MOST IMPORTANT THING!!! SUNSCREEN! High SPF! :shock: You don't want to regret it because you burnt your poor skin to a crisp. And trust us, once you've tried it you will laugh at how silly your fears / inhabitions were. It's wonderful and truthfully, Rudy and I are lamenting that we have to wear any clothes at all. | Well the Mrs Bonez & I have been there 2 times. The first she wanted a t shirt form chinos so she flashed him but was pretty consious about it until some people from back home showed up. The second year... I had to beg her to dress for lunch etc. I had to keep her out of my suit, those of you who surfed here last year will remember me in the PINK bikini. Seriously go for it let loose. At the BBG you will find the most supportive cast of friends who care not what shape you are but just love to have fun.

| As Ms. Cancuncare May 2006 Chi-Chi's of the Year award recipient, I would say do it! I did not get this award for the best chi-chi's but because I decided to go topless. I have a large chest with scars and did not want to do it on my first trip at BBG in May 2004. But my husband (boyfriend at the time) encouraged me and took off my top the third day we were there. I then realized that no one cared what my chest looked like so why should I be so self concious about it --- boobs are boobs and beautiful no matter what size or shape or body they are on. I found it to be very freeing! I've been been there twice more and every time my top comes off within a few minutes after getting to the sexy pool. I'd say go for it! Nobody cares what your chest looks like and you'll probably find it to be rather freeing and awesome! Katie |

| I remember my first trip, it took me a couple days to actually lose the top. I know what it's like to be over weight. i've lost 80 pounds and when we were there the first time i was still feeling like the overweight girl and worried about having the smallest boobs in the resort. Actually i do have the smallest boobs. So i guess my advice to you is it doesn't matter if were over weight, lost weight, or naturally skinny, we all worry about what other people will think of us and we all have body parts we hate. I'm glad i went topless, it was freeing and for once I wasn't focused on what people think. BBG is so freeing, i now been free 5 times going on 6 in April, BBG has helped me to increase my self esteem and how I feel about myself and my perception of people think is who gives a shit. So I hope you decide to do it this time. There's nothing like sex after teasing the husband all frickin day. It's an experience that changes you, don't let it pass you by this time. A little liquid courage works. Go see Alfredo and ask for 2 komakazies shots. Taste like lemonade but, it's quick freedom.
