Default What do you do to get inshape for a stay at temptation?

We work out to lose those winter pounds,and do some base tanning..we spend about 1 hour aday in our home gym...

Well we have been working out some, tanning some but mostly practicing living with a hang-over!

Thats the great thing about Temptations...if you are in great shape-great, if you are in so so shape-great, if your shape is a little round-great as long as you know how to have fun it doesn't matter!!

Although we are not staying at Temptation we try to kick up the workouts and watch the diet a few months before our trip. We work out to some degree year round but really push it as it gets closer. Base tanning 2-3 months out for me, one month for Alisa.

Same for us - we work out year-round but take it up a notch a few months before the trip. A base tan is very important although I noticed just about everyone is red faced from the sun after about a week. I guess it is the time in the pool with our heads out of the water that intensifies the sun. When you drink from 10 AM in the morning until the wee hours of the next morning... well, who cares if your red faced. ops:

We also work out year-round, but we always have a bit of difficulty getting back into the routine after vacations and holidays. Once we get back into the swing of things, and we've got 8-10 weeks left until vacation, we start going to the gym at 5AM, to give our metabolism at extra boost (so we eat what we want on vacation and not gain a pound), and sometimes I will go twice a day. We get into the spinning classes and then I take pilates classes once or twice a week.

Go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week, eat only turkey, chicken, tuna and vegetables for 2 months. No fruit, carbs and sugar, just so that we feel good about the fact that after 2 weeks at BBG it will be just like we never went to the gym at all. Thank God for the sun and water but better yet thank Jose Cuervo for Tequila.

I try to at least drink 5 times a week 2 weeks out.. I have to get my level up so I don't go totally into shock with that amount of drinks and shots I am going to consume.

Other than that I do try to get rid of a couple extra pounds I found during the holidays.. try to tan and shop for sexy clothes!!!

I normally drink four bottle's of vodka then have five wanks a day for the two months prior to arriving at Temptation .

To top it top it off, two weeks prior to my arrival I'll have a huge pair of plastic comedy breasts surgically implanted and have the corners of my mouth attached to my ears using a newly developed invisable nylon to give myself the permanent grin like expression that I seem to notice others wearing round the pool with similar impalnts. :lol: :lol:

On top of my normal preparations ( previoiusly itemised on this thread )I'm thinking about furthering my attempts to get in Temptations shape this year by having one ear lobe weighted heavier than the other in order to give my head that grinning tilting look in order to accentuate my implants to all and sundry gawping on ( in admeration I presume like everyone else ) arround the sexy pool.

I'm also thinkinging about having pebbles surgically attached to the underside of the heels of my feet, therefore making me walk around the sexy pool on tippy toes, grinning to the sun whilst everyone acknowledges how much effort and coin it has taken for me to look this good.

Am I going too far and will I blend in again this year, please advise.

so, are you saying implants are bad? Just wondering. I was starting to feel like I needed to go get a set before my hubby and I came down in June, but if everyone has em, I'm glad mine are real. I will be like a phenomenon there.lol

You are going to see all sizes, real-fake, firm-not so firm whatever. Same with bodies...there will be some hard bodies there, some not so hard bodies and some larger bodies. Its a place where you can be yourself....or a bit wilder than your normal self. First time we were there we met a lady that had lost 120 lbs and her husband got her the trip as a present. His only request was that she go topless at least once. She let it all hang out and was a hoot. I hope everyone that goes there is going to have a good time and not look down at people for their shape/size.

Its great to share helpful information on getting in shape and being proud of yourself for working hard to look good. I just hope people don't read the board and feel like if they are less than perfect they are going to be ostrasized while on vacation. BTW I am a work in progress...it means a lot more to me right now how I look than it actually will when I get off that plane in Cancun. Then my only worry will be if my husband will go to the bar for me or if I will actually have to get off the lounger.

I know what you mean. I am a work in progress. Super fine in high school, but 3 kids later, one 6 months ago and I am strugglin to pull it all back together. C sections at that, so wicked weasel bikinis are out for me .lol I do have 4 1/2 months before our trip, so I am determined to lose 10 lbs a month. lol we will see how that goes. As long as we have a good time, I don't care. I admire all shapes and sizes. If you have had kids, wider hips are your trophy.lol

I started the old "vacation" diet on Monday. I have 12 weeks from tomorrow to loose what I can. Unfortunatly that means staying away from curling too many bottles of alcohol. Good news is that I am starting at aprox the same weight as last years trip so I cant be any worse! AND I have already lost 2.4 pounds.

I am watching what I eat and this weekend will start to workout. I will also get a very good base tan starting about 8 weeks before (I am PALE!).

We step up the workouts and diets. We're less then 7 weeks out. I started really hitting the gym harder 2 weeks ago and have kicked the diet into high gear too. I really try to eat leaner and cut calories.....but here's my dilema....that sounds good and all but I also have to get the tolerance up as well so cutting calories doesn't go well because I tend to drink a lot of tequila, bacardi, and beer!!! Just a few of my favorites. When it comes down to it...I'd rather be well trained in the drinking arena and ready to party all day and all night!!

We are 3 months out and my wife has just started to resume her strict diet and training so that the micro-kittens fit as well as they did last year :clap: I just started to increase the intensity and slowly cut the calories. I always fluxtuate 10 or so pounds which I can lose in a few weeks. While we will not be at Temp, we hope to meet out at one of the clubs ( we're thinking Basic on Wed I believe) as well as the booze cruise if there happens to be one that week.

I'm doing some of the same stuff as anyone else. I joined a 12 week Boot Camp (just in time for my trip). Lots of chicken, fish, and veggies. NO ALCOHOL (AAH!) So let me go ahead and apologize if I am the "one drink and shes drunk" girl bc I will be going with no booze for almost three months. I'm also working out with a trainer three times a week just so I am required to excercise. But once I'm there...non-stop partying! Can't wait!
