Default Airport Transfers to Hotel

Our Trip comes with a transfer from the air port to the hotel! This has probably been asked a million times, but my question is...

Should I book a private transfer to get to the hotel or have people found that the ones that come with your booking work out well for them with little wasted time?

Thanks
Bernadette

I have always had it included in cost. This time I had to add it. It was only $23 Round Trip. I doubt you would find it that chaep there. Good Luck either way.

The problem with the "included transfers" is the location of TTR at the end of the hotel zone. We have done it and after waiting for the bus to fill up you then are at the mercy of how many stops will be required to unload the balance of riders and their luggage (our last time on a bus transfer we got off the bus after more than an hour and took a taxi). Brandt's service is great (you can book thru this site) and direct to TTR. There are other services also but I would honestly suggest avoiding the bus..vacations are short and sitting on one makes me very thirsty

Hey Bernadette: I have been to Cancun 3 times the bus ride is say 30 minutes to maybe an hour. I never timed it as I enjoyed the view of seeing what was there so when i jumped a bus I would have an idea of my surroundings. Each time it stopped say 3 hotels. If time is that important to Zip to Hotel by all means take the Taxi. It really comes down to what you really want. Enjoy.

I have been to Temptations many times, but find that Brant's service is well worth the extra money. It is a private transfer and gets you there non stop. But like it was said previously, if you want to check out the hotel zone and look at other hotels or resorts then take the bus. We did that the first couple times because it was included, but since then we just like to get to the resort and get our vacation going........it is a matter of personal preference...

Have fun!!

I hate the ride on the included transfer trip, but in my opinion, if this is your first time to cancun you really should take the hour or so and see the hotel zone. It'll be well worth the time.

We had an included transfer last year. It was our first trip to Cancun and we loved looking at everything on the ride to the rsort. We were in a van with a couple of young guys on their spring break, and a woman, about our age, traveling alone. We had a blast on the trip. The driver had a cooler and sold us Corona's for $1.50 each. We made stops at the two other resorts and then ours. It took about half an hour. We plan to take our the transport included in our package again this year, and hopefully it will be as much fun!

We had the included transfer last year (our 1st trip), but we bought into the membership and only booked our flights with RCI for this year, so the transfer isn't included.

We're booking our transfers with Brant's this year -$55USD roundtrip! It's actually cheaper than the hotel's company and it's private and direct, as opposed to shared with 3 - 5 stops.

Last year was okay, though, since it was our 1st time and the driver also does the tour guide thing!

Just don't let them stop you in the airport...go right outside after you pass through customs and look for your transfer company...you will be approached by people in the airport trying to sell you nights at other hotels, people outside the airport trying to get you to use their transfer company, etc. Just say "No, Graçias", put on your blinders and find your company!

Shared transfers can be kind of fun. You get to meet other people as soon as you land that are just as excited as you and also when you leave who are just as bummed to leave as you are. We did a shared the first trip and yeah the ride to the hotel seemed to take a bit longer but on the way home you are the last to be picked up.
Last two trips we have used Brant and I will also give him recommendations. Last trip we were travelling with another couple, but on different flights. Their flight was delayed. We found our USA transfer guy holding our sign and he told us their flight was delayed and what time it should be in and then found us again and told us it would be landing shortly and where he would be standing for us to find him. Very helpful as by then they were pretty busy.

We have done the shared transfers each time we have gone down, Each time being the last ones dropped off and thinking why didn't we do something different. One time we had been on the plane for 5 hours with screaming kids (2-5 year olds)all around us, then as we are waiting for the shuttle to leave here comes the mini brady bunch and again kids 1/2 way to the resort. This time we are going through Brant and the only people we will have to wait for is my brother and his wife then straight to the pool for us.
