Default HOW DO YOU ALL GET IN-SHAPE FOR BBG TRIP

Well yesterday I started my thing.

This will be everyday till BBG

50 sit-ups

50 jump and jacks

50 push-ups

hit the weights for 25 min

drink lots of bottle water

stay away from cakes and bread for a month..

Although honestly I think you look great now.

I joined Curves...doing that 3 times a week plus watching the carbs.

You already know what I am suppose to be doing, haven't been sticking to it lately. I am starting again this week, 3 days at curves, 2 days at the new gym at the high school.

Ladies, you all look great already.
As for me ,it's 4 days in the gym,two body parts a day.
Heavy lifting with 20 min. cardio after each work out.
Then 30 to 45 min. cardio on the off days from the gym.
120 oz. of water each day, 300 grams of protien each day.
Try to eat six small meals a day, keeps your metabolism cranked!!
No refine sugars, slow burning carbs. only.
You never get hunger this way.
Just think how HOT YOUR GOING TO LOOK!! :wink:

since the liver is THEE most evil muscle, i choose to exercise the hell out of it as a warm-up for BBG!!!

I have been dieting and excersizing since June when we decidedto take this trip, after all it is for my 40th birthday and I do not want to be Fat and 40!! To date I have lost 56 pounds, and workout 5 or 6 days a week. 3 or 4 days straight cardio, 2 days I mix weights and cardio.
As for the drinking to get in the liver in shape, I said this morning that I had enough New Year's celebrating to hold me over til March when we leave for BBG. Of course that's how I felt this morning. I may change my tune by this weekend!

I used to be able to drop a quick 10 by watching carbs and upping the cardio.....somehow I get the feeling I'm gonna need to step things up a bit now that my age is quickly approaching half a century :shock: :lol:

Heh -- for me, a 5K run 4X per week, 2 full weight workouts a week, Aikido on Saturday [that's more of a neck-up exercise tho'] and maybe a swim in the public pool with Jessica a few times a week too. Just gonna say no to 95% of all carbs too...:roll:

I'm getting the feeling that having 10-to-a-dozen drinks a day might be good practice, but that's not really going ot happen... :lol:

Well, It time to really get in shape for BBG. My new routine. Aerobic 7x/week. Alternating running, biking, and step aerobics. Strength training- Hypertrophy alternating upper and lower body minimum 3x/week lifting 80% of 1RM. Extra aerobic teaching classes 3x/week. Diet maintainence- lots of fruits,veggies,protien, and no fattening foods. I'm going to drop 20 lbs before I go back in April.

Mike don't forget to work your back and hamstrings. Add squats and rear rows or dealifts to your workout.

Terry goes to curves 3 times a week so shes covered. I am going ride the stationary bike for 20 mins. 2 out of the next 4 days. no, maybe no, I better not risk it. I'd watch my carbs, but don't have any, since I sold the truck, i did not need them. 6 small meals a day sounds good (small to me). light beer, and clear liquids ( vodka). I plan on taking my energy pills(asprins) alot to increase my up time. Lived the first half of my life healthy, second half less healthy. seemed easier that way. And no I am not making fun of you guys that excersize, I am making fun of me.

I like to do Tae bo and alternate that with sit ups, arm weights and running. But seriously, we do our best exercising when it rains, while watching chnl 12 at BBG!!! :wink:

I'm surprised that no one has offered the information about consuming a case of beer a day for the month leading up to the vacation, or a bottle of rum a day, dancing lesons so they don't dance like a white man during the contests, speed dating sessions so they can practice pick up lines, stealing the baby's bottle to practice dinking beer from it... you know, practical things like that. :shock:

And like Jamie says, I definately up my intake of alcohol....
I think BBG just may be an excuse to do that-but I am sticking with it..
