Christmas In America with the Travelling Panties!

Well guys...I made it! As you may or may not know, i was trying to plan a little roadtrip around America, and to do an "American Christmas"! After several very kind offers it all got planned, and I am now back and nearly recovered!

Dec 24th Land in New York...spend the day on my own, doing the tourist bus thing, Top Of The Rock (Rockafella Centre), Skating in Central Park, and a bit of art at the MET.

In the evening got a train to Connecticut, to see Carole : ). It was great to see Carole and her very sweet daughter, and we spent the evening catching up, making cookies for Santa, and chilling out a bit

Dec 25th Early morning unwrapping prezzies, taking Alexa to her Dads, then Carole and I visited Kristen. Again, great to see her, had a catch up, she got me drunk before 1pm on 2 VERY STRONG vodkas (good girl, thanks!). Then off to Angie's to visit her and her family. A pretty crazy affair with enough food to fill the buffet at BBG! Everyone was really hospitable....Angie thanks again, great to see you). Then back to Kristen's place for a few more drinks, and to meet Todd then off to see if any nightlife was open! We managed to find a bar where Carole and Kristen proceeded to down a few shots. A nice end to the day. Thanks guys!

Dec 26th Pick up Alexa and start the LONG drive to Montreal. Get a chance to chat lots with Carole, and to take in the scenery. Arrive to a snowy Montreal (gorgeous) and meet her family. Everyone was lovely to me, and i had a really nice evening with them. I then went and met another friend who showed me a few nightspots.

Dec 27th Touristy day in Montreal, and then met with Carole, her sister and Waste for a very nice civilised dinner! Me and waste then went on to a Uber Cool bar, and then on to see some "Ballet" and met some locals...lovely...thanks for the tour Waste!!

Dec 28th - Jan 1st Staying with friends in Vegas, taking in the shows, the sites, the Hoover Dam, and then New Years Eve having dinner on the strip, taking in all the fun, and then the fireworks at midnight...love it!

Jan 2nd Fly back to New York. I was due to see Michelle but sadly we had to cancel but i managed to fly back to London a day early.

It was a great trip, and im really thankful to everyone that i met up with and that were so hospitable to me. It was a great shame not to see Michelle....and i was so looking forward to the reunion with the travelling panties! Oh well, as you can see...they travelled well!

Oh...and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Matt ~ Glad you had a great trip. I got to see Carole this weekend and she told me all about your wonderful trip. Glad you had a great time in the US....and the panties came too

It meant the uk was quieter with you !! Looks like you had a fantastic trip Mat.

I played the tour guide over xmas and showed the best and worst of the uk - from prison to Castle.

I have also just managed to get a film of pics developed from a disposible camera (from the trip on june) which seems to have 'been' Kidnapped on the first day we arrived. Boats, beach, beach parties and very fond memories.
