AUG.31st, CANCUNCARE BOOZE CRUISE TRIP REPORT & PIX

About 45 of us gathered at the Temptation Lobby. We walked over to a dock next door and boarded our ship for the day, the Lapita, thumbed our noses at Hurricane Gustav, and set sail for fun in the sun.



The crew was introduced, the music started, and we were off to Isla Mujeres.

Max was celebrating her birthday with us. Happy Birthday, Max!!!!

We stopped for a snorkel of the reef by the lighthouse in the bay off Isla. No pix........I was in the water!
Then we docked at the Isla Contoy dock on Isla Mujeres. Most everyone rented a golf cart and did and quick lap of the island.
Then we headed over to a beach club on Isla for beach games and a yummy buffet lunch

We weathered a 45 min. intense rainfall, a remnant of Gustav, but killed the time doing tequila body shots.
When the rain stopped we started to sail back to Cancun continuing the party along the way.

We are making our third trip to Temptations (BBG) and want to do the adult-only booze cruise that consisted of only people from Temptations. From your pictures, this looks like the one we did before and want to do again. Was it on a Tuesday and where did you sign up for it? We don't want to get stuck on a kid-friendly cruise....

JUST CONTACT STEVE THE OWNER OF THIS FORUM. THEY ARE HIS CRUISES. They are the best in our opinion having been on 5 of them. He can fill you in on the details. Watch for the postings for them on this forum.

Yeah our cruise is a little different to the regular one. Problem is we can only run it when we have enough people (30) and sadly that doesn't happen very often at this time of year., so we dont have any cruise dates planned in the near future.

The differences:
- Our cruise is cheaper
- Our Ents staff are better
- With us your reef tax is included too, no asking for an extra $3 per person on boarding that the sales guys didnt tell you about when you booked.
- Adults only, when we say no kids we mean no kids.
- No compulsory shopping tour at "the best stores" where the crew make commissions. Instead we arrange a drunken crazy whistle stop tour of the whole island on golf buggies.
- Free drinks at lunchtime, as much as you can drink including shots all included, instead of $4 a beer.
- Adult games and prizes.

Too bad we dont get the numbers to do this every week, a recent report of the TTR regular cruise.

I agree Ice, I might even wait to make plans until I know when Steve will be running one in May....we missed it by 2 days in May, and by a week this month.....just doesnt seem to line up with my dates.

The cruise was hilarious - I'll add my own mini cruise report in my trip report. All I have to say is that I was SMASHED!!! I was about as lit up as I have EVER been. What a day - I can safely say that my 35th birthday was THE best one yet!!!

Thanks to Rob for arranging it - and for everyone who helped me celebrate - you're all maniacs (but I love ya!!!!)

Steve - what can I say - you and Jannet are absolute gems and it was a real pleasure to meet you - sorry I didnt come to watch England play - noone else wanted to come!!! BORING - so I had to go with the majority BOOOOO!!!

Oh phooey...no photos only red x's? is it because they are blacked here at work? Will have to check them out when my laptop comes at home! Sounds like fun. I am sure hoping I can align my next trip to include a Steve cruise.

The one you can book at the towel hut I know is Adult only (and usually TTR only) on Thursday for sure, maybe Tuesday too. We had fun on that one for sure but Steves looks like more fun (and who can go wrong with free drinks with lunch AND CHEAPER!)

Hey Bethy - I have to say that the patches werent the miracle cure BUT they kept him going until the boat moored up for the snorklers then he started to get queasy -however Jannet gave him dramamine so coupled with the patch, and a couple hours on dry land - he was able to party with the rest of us on the way back!!
