Family....kids? Family...parents? Family....brothers/sisters??

Honestly our family (all of the above) know we have a bit of a wild side on us and wouldn't think anything of it. We just tell them its an adult only resort and no its not Hedo or anything involving total nudity or out in the open sex. We steal Jamie's line and say its just like an adult frat party. Now my hubby loves to tell stories so his sisters know a bit more than I would have liked shared, but like I said they think we are nonreformed wild children anyways.

we just tell them we are going to mexico and if they need to reach us to call our oldest daughter and she can get in touch with us :roll:

all three kids have been trained on how to handle both sets of grandparents........

our parents would just never understand and we respect that - they know we have a wild side but we dont stick it in their faces -

My family all knows that I got to an adult only all inclusive. I havent talked to my Dad about it being top optional or some of the stuff that goes on there but he did sit for me last time so he knows the NAME which I think implys worse happens than does. I was tempted to put the old name with the correct phone number on the paper but then if he had called he would have gotten confused and maybe started looking for BBG. Oh well. I am a grown up.

My kids are too young to talk about the stuff that happens at TTR so I dont. My oldest does know I went topless. Not something she wants to know (picture her with her fingers in her ears saying lalalalallala! LOL!) but I dont do things I am ashamed of or things I would be upset if she would do when she is an ADULT.

My Mom and I are pretty open so she knows it is top optional and I was surprised how shocked she was when she found out. (she wanted to buy me a BOB for my 18th bday, so really I am not sure why it is so shocking to her not like she is a prude) My brother accidently found my photos on the hard drive...WAIT...not accidently! He was thinking he was looking at plain old Cancun photos, wanted to see it. Um yeah that is what you get for being nosey!!! (and my dumb butt should have password protected them...lesson learned!) So he knows, and I have told him about the games and such.

My bff came with last time so yeah...she knows! LOL! Plenty of my friends know the whole story but they know I am a little wild. People I am not as close to I just say adult only AI. I tell them there are "fun games", some people I will tell it is top optional but I dont really tell them IF I do any of these things.

hehehe...funny you should ask...our girls (22 & 27 y.o.) and the youngest's boyfriend were over for supper the day after we got back. Scott and his big mouth told them about me doing a semi striptease in the PJ Casino contest, so I told them about him giving up his swim trunks and then sauntering totally nude across the pool deck to retrieve them, while I ran around the pool trying to get a pic! :lol: Our kids (all 4 of them) know what we're like so they just shake their heads and roll their eyes at our stories. Our friends get the whole story...like our first time there when we hung out a window while having some fun :shock: (we didn't have a balcony, just a window flat against the wall in the older section...they've since added a balcony...hmmm!) Our Moms...not so much...they're 78 & 89 y.o. and they just wouldn't understand! LOL

My parents actually have been there and took my sister. One day my dad was like we got a great deal to a resort in Cancun but I can't remember the name. He was like I think its Blue Bay or something close to that. I'm like Blue Bay Club?? No, but that was one I could've gone too. I'm like BBG? Yes that is it. My parents where always like why don't you take more pictures. Well we all know that only so many can be seen by everyone. :lol:

Hmmm knowing they aren't really Temptation typical clientle I thought it was going to be a disaster. But they enjoyed it quite a bit. They usually spend more time outside of the resort then it on many vacations. So missed quite bit of the crazyness. Though the old man did play Crazy Darts with Chinos.

My family knows. LOL I sent my daughter and one of her friends a few years back, And I took my youngest son there for his 21st birthday and again on one of our "Boy's Trips" needless to say he had a good time

It takes too much energy to try to explain, plus nobody really believes you anyway....so we just say that we're going to Cancun and are staying at Blue Bay and leave it at that.

Last year I told my parents and my mom looked up the resort's webpage. She immediately confronted me about "what kind of place was I going to". I told her it was nothing like she thinks. I told her about the quiet pool..... I think they have one :roll: (I was there once).

This year I really don't feel like dealing with all of that, so I am going to the oasis or something like that. I looked up another resort name and tell co-workers (I'm a teacher) and family members that I am going to a different resort.

TTR is my little secret... My husband brags at work!! haha

My cell worked down there but it was expensive to use. Mind you I am sure the actual phones at the resort were expensive too. But I would have told my whole family that same thing when I went out of town too, only I have small kids and their sitter (who this year happens to be my Dad) needed to know how to get in in a dire emergency and the chance my cell didnt work. It worked fine but I did LOOSE it! So what would have happened if (God Forbid) something horrible would have happened to my kid while my phone was lost and I hadnt told him the name of my resort?

NOW if my kids were OLDER, really most things I can wait to find out until I return. Would I LIKE to know? SURE! But it isnt like a kid under 18 where I have to make decisions. Even though I did leave a signed paper stating my dad could make decisions until I was reached I still am responsible for them.
All that said...I even told my kids Dont call me I will call you! (only cause they called me THREE TIMES from the time I landed in Cancun until the time I made it to the hotel in the cab, to tell me "something!" they got home before my Dad I guess! Those calls cost 1.49 a minute!)

We tell our kids exactly that!!! If it is a true emergency they have a list of people to call and I do call and check in every other day or so. 1st trip..our youngest daughter broke her arm the first day we were gone and even though I called they NEVER TOLD ME!!!...didn't want to wreck my vaca!

As for MIL...mine would "oh me, oh my, oh my goodness" me deaf!!

last trip we put international on cingular (att&t) the price was 69 cents a minute. beats $45 plus land line phone calls. ps rec'd & sent texts w/o any problems.
