First time in Cancun

Me and my husband will be making our first trip to Cancun July 29th-Aug 5th. Anyone else going at this time? Thought it would be nice to make some friends before hand.
Also we are trying to decide on a some tours. We are talking about Xcaret and Isla Mujeres. Any suggestions??

a few months before you leave steve will post a roll call for July and you will see people start to sign on with their dates and times they will be there, so that is a great way to meet and talk, I have not taken many of the excursions so others will be more of help then me on those, just be sure to look at times , cuz i know there are a few trips that take up almost the entire day... Hey guys, have you thought of going to Chichen Itza or Cenote Riveria Maya? This is on our list of things to do while we are there and possibly Isla Mujeres.

Yes we were thinking of both of those..trying to decide which ones to do. We are for sure going to Isla Mujeres. Also considering Xcaret tour.

We did the Xcaret tour last year and thought it was just okay. It is a very beautiful park (think amusement park without rides, but located on a very beautiful beachfront and tropical environment). This is an an all day excursion (about an hour bus ride each way from Temptation). There is also a night time show so you probably will not return to the resort until after 10pm. We enjoyed swimming in the underground cenotes, seeing the Sea turtle breeding center and most of the other animal displays. This definitely is a place that we would have enjoyed more with our kids...

We finished most of the park around 2pm, had a snack and a nap on the beach hammocks. I think we were having sexy pool withdrawal so we decided to skip the night time show that starts at 7pm and took a cab back to Temptation (negotiated a price of 550 pesos).

Overall, it was enjoyable, but so far the only excursion I have found worth leaving the sexy pool during the day is Steve's Booze Cruise to Isla Murjeres, every other excursion will have you wondering, what am I doing here, when I could be getting drinks at the sexy pool?

once the action starts picking up for July, we'll schedule for a big event with a group on the booze cruise.

Xel Ha is also fun... go with a few couples and get the all inclusive package (including alcohol and food)... XelHa | Natural Wonder - Home also the catamaran booze cruise to Isla mujeres- If Steve doesn't do one the week you're there, there is an another adult only all inclusive one that leaves from the resort...

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen a newbie on Cancure forum and planning to go to Temptation resort Cancun for the first time.

I am broadminded however my wife is very conservative and she is not willing to stay at Temptation resort.

Will appreciate if you could brief me about the topless scene and the activities at this resort. I am unable to view the photos posted on this forum even with moderate setting probably because I am logging in from India.
