|  Best Time and Place to Book ??? Hey all! I am trying to book a trip for myself and my best friend, she is in desparate need of a holiday!! Single Mom, lost both parents in the last year!! I am wondering if anyone has any insight on when the best time to book is and through what site to get the best deal might be ??? Unfortunalty money is an object so were looking for the best deal possible, booking for 1st week of Aug ??? Any help would be appreciated !! Thanks  |

| mid to late august is the start of the off season, check the prices week by week and arrival dates of sat or sun. at times makes a big difference. been several times late aug to mid sept-- due to the start of the hurrcane season be sure to check out the trip insurance.

| Tanya, I know it sounds out of date but I called a travel agent (Liberty) and they were able to include the transfer to the resort and still drop the price by $50 from what I found online. No fees to ask. Just leave Tom home and bring your friend in January!! They allow the girls to be part of the "guys".

| itravel 2000 is one of the good ones, also redtag.ca, selloffvactions.com are also ok. But from experience leaving out of Western Canada (especially in the summer months) can get pricy as lots of airlines only fly in the winter direct. Also you may want to look into flying out of Calgary or Edmonton as the 6 hour drive is often cheaper than the connecting flight. You should go next month again lol. As soon as I figure out if I am broke or not that's my plan to book if it works out. Feel free to message me if you want some more details as I live in Calgary now but am originally from Saskatoon so I know the pains of getting a plane out of the giant rectangle as well as anyone!

| Might keep an eye on gtahotels.com also.. I got the best deal there by far but as always deals come and go so remember to check all the places daily. Also you need to check the cancellation policies. Most will let you cancel with no pentalities up to a couple of days before the trip. That way you can grab a deal but keep your eyes open for an even better one later. Good luck... Jamie |
