Default Fishing

Is there any fishing boats that run trips or charters near BBG and if so does anyone know about how much.

There are several options for doing fishing charters.

You can book through Entertainment Plus which has a link at the bottom of this page.

Or you can book through Albatros Tours in the towl hut at BBG. Just ask for Victor.

Of the two, Entertainment Plus has a much better cancellation policy should you change your mind or decide that even though the charter is going the weather isn't good enough.

My husband and some friends went last year. They paid $100 a piece for the trip. It was pretty much all day. They booked right there at BBG.

Default watch the weather

my group reserved a charter duringthe week of jan 7- 14 .I woke up early because there were high winds and being on the ocen before didnt think the charter would go out in the conditions.. The charter did leave and I feel were ripped off cause the captain took us to the ruffest part of the bay knowing our group wouldnt be able to take the seas. There were 20 foot swells and no other boats to be seen !!!. why is that ???. They dont get any money if they cancel but if they can get you to cancel well thats another story. 4 of my group was very sick for 2hrs waves were even throwing their crew across the boat. I myself am comfortable on the seas but I could tell they almost lost the boat sideways trying to turn around. Supporting my theory of being ripped off was when I told the guy we booked at the hut (shaved head guy, nice guy) he said we shouldnt have been out there. Our boat turned around by request of the majority of the passengers. the crew made off witha full funded paid trip.

Book through Entertainmemnt Plus and this won't happen.

If you think it's too rough you don't go...and you don't pay for a trip you didn't take.

I had a trip planned a couple of years back on a 4 passenger boat.Captain told me 8:00 am departure.Showed up at 7:50 am only to see boat about a mile away from dock.Thinking he left without me because I didn't have a partner and his boat would only have 3 passengers.Must have picked up a duo at last minute.I put down a small deposit prior to going and it was non refundable. When the boat got back I questioned him about refund/rebook.Because it was Christmas time he couldn't rebook me because they don't work Christmas eve and I was leaving Christmas day.He offered me 1/2 hour use of jet ski but was not interested.Did not offer any refund.Very disapointed.Would never do it again.Just my 2 cents worth.

P.S - This was booked right in front of the BBG,not sure of his affiliation with resort.

Java,

You booked through Albatros Tours. That's BBG's tour company basically.

Their cancellation policy sucks quite frankly.

Even after Wilma (when obviously all tours were cancelled) they only refunded 80% of what people paid for their tours. Doesn't seem quite right to e that an act of God prevented anyone fromgoing on the tours yet they still made a profit off people.

I know for a fact that Ebtertainment Plus refunded 100% of people's money.
