Default Weight Restrictions

Has anyone flown down with Can Jet. I know its 20kg per person, but can my wife and I pack in one suitcase and combine the two and have a 40kg suitcase?

Nope. They won't let you do that.

I do a lot of business flying..

If I can offer a tip. It's a good idea for each of you to pack some essentials in a carry on bag.

It's rare that bags are misplaced. Particularly with a charter airline but it really sucks when it happens and it can take a day or two for them to be recovered.

Careful not to pack stuff that is not allowed on the plane but you are each allowed a baggie containing gels, toothpaste, etc. in that bag. Pack hair brushes and anything else you think you'd need for a couple of days stay. Clothes, underwear, bathing suit, shorts and tops, etc.

If you really want to play it safe then split the stuff you are putting in your check in bags and put half in each bag. That way if one bag is lost you both still have have stuff in the other.

As of March 1st it's $12.00 per every kg. that you are overweight.

Here's some more info:

CanJet Airlines

I haven't flown CanJet before. They fly 737-800's. A good reliable aircraft.

Looks like they pack the seats in pretty tight, though. I wouldn't count on a lot of leg room.

Remember too, your clothes and bag will weigh more leaving cancun , with the moisture and humidity...ive packed the same bag and the same bag has weight considerably more on return

We always take a digital fish scale w/ us to pre weight all check-ins.
1/2 # overweight in Puerto Rico cost me $25.00 US - 1 mistake cost more than the damn scale!

Honestly, you don't need many clothes at Temptations. A bathing suit bottom (top optional), a cover up, a few pairs of underwear (optional), one or two dresses for evening and maybe a pair of shorts and a top and you're good to go. You could pack everything in a small carry-on, LOL!

I do the same thing, Im terribly at packing and deciding...so I always make sure I have room in my carry on in case i need to transfer stuff either on the way or on the way back..

Buy and bring a cheap digital fish scale w/ you. That way, all doubts and extra charges will forever be eliminated!! Take it from experience folks!! See in 6 days!!

Check your weight before you go, then you can move stuff around if need be. I'm talking about a small hand held digital scale

A tip on the shoes - wear your heaviest ones to travel & take 1/2 as many pairs than you think you need. We aren't looking at your feet anyways girls

We have identical bags...my bag was over and Karen's was under...they were going to charge me but after some convincing they allowed us to throw some stuff in her bag until mine was under as well!!!! They do NOT let you combine weights for one large bag...

Our problem is we have to pack for 2 weeks (terrible he he he) and we only get 15kgs...Les had to pay extra to take it up to 20kgs each.

Will leave underwear (apart from lingerie night) /shoes (who cares)/ morals (lost them ages ago) behind....

theres always one girl that will say omg those shoes so dont match that outfit. But then again you have to factor in the ability to walk in them when your hammered and them not hurting your feet and weather you can dance in them cause its not safe to walk around the bar area with bare feet....ewwwwwww!!!
