Has anyone upgraded to a jacuzzi room? If so, how much per night? 1/22-1/26

I upgraded from standard to Jacuzzi for 10 days starting 11/26. $54 per night.

Oh no! You guys are back already? Time flies. We need a trip report. How did December compare to February?

Re the jacuzzi room question, we simply book the cheapest and ask for an upgrade upon arrival. If they say anything around 50 then we take the deal. Around 100+ and we would pass.

It did not matter how many nights. We were fortunate to have been able to get one for the whole trip.

The first few days were great weather, 3 crappy days of cool temps and wind, the end was decent weather. It was a fun crowd we were with for sure and the girls brought their A game. At one point I had 5 different thong virgins in Christens bikinis, people thought I worked for WW I had to explain it was a labor of love.

We booked online... upon checkin we asked to see the room before we took it...it was across from the disco in the main hallway... asked about an upgrade...they wanted $350.00 for the week ... reduced it to $200.00 ...LOVED the room..ground floor facing the quiet pool. Funny no-one complained about their rooms that I heard all week...we just liked the location better (I think all the jacuzzi rooms are on the ground floor - not possitive)... from what I could tell all the rooms are decent...the beds and linens are fantastic...and most of the time you are out eating/chatting/partying.

Does anyone know if the jacuzzi rooms have curtains or are they always open to the outside? i can't remember, maybe too much alcohol?

I believe most have curtains - but not all.

There is a pull down sunshade. You can still see light thru it, not sure if it allows someone outside to see thru it. Not all jacuzzi rooms have the sunshade though.

I can imagine the looks when you told them you didnt work for ww, yet had 100+ bikinis with you.

Good to hear it was a good time. Got to love thong virgins. I think that has to join my top ten favorite things... my wife, my daughters, lobster, phillies, beach, vegas, sleeping in, redbull vodka, poker, and thong virgins, yep top 10 (not necessarily in that order). Having Kimmie from malibu strings last year handing out trial thongs definitely helped the atmosphere at the pool. Sounds like you did a good job filling the gap for December.

I believe there are 4 without pull out shades and they are not all on the end as some have assumed. They are where two sections of the buildings meet. Ours did not have a shade and yes it does possibly make for a good show. However, the walk way path was so close someone could almost reach out and touch you. Next time we will request a shade. And you definitely cant see thru the shades.

Our room was 1107 or maybe 1108? Cant remember for sure. Have to go back to the old trip report. A benefit was that it was near the quiet pool bartender so he would bring us drinks to our jacuzzi. Tip him well and he keeps coming back with more.

We were in 1116 and the shade stayed closed all week. One note on the shade though, they do absolutly nothing the stop all the sounds from getting out

Lets just say a few people asked if we were having a good week At one point security got sick of being ignored at the door so they came around. I was a bit surprised to be told to shut up by them but honestly it was deserved. Some people are just louder than others, you know?

I had a birthday down there and managed to get in one with 3 others. Any more than that would have been pretty friendly.

This was the only time I have been there and had security be an issue. They stifled the fun around the pool and at patio's a few times as well as late in the ocean. They were also un-bribeable. I don't know if there was maybe an ice queen type of guest that had a problem with other people getting a bit crazy and complaining or if it is a new resort policy. Either way it was new and strange.

just make sure you pack them, odds are she will have them on before the end of the first day. My wife said no way she was wearing them on our first trip. She went to the room and changed after some tequila shots........thats all she wore the rest of the trip.

Ha. I was in the same position as you this time last year. I got some advice from mike that helped a ton. Now I will pass the advice on so that you may experience the same joy.

Start slowly. Try a wicked weasel suit that has some coverage. Style 212 is what I went with. Here is a link...

The flower pattern has a classy look. And wicked weasels are made of quality materials which helps with comfort level. If she is normally a small get a medium and if she is normally a medium get a large. It will help her take the leap.

When she gets there and sees ladies of all shapes, sizes and ages are wearing them she will wish she had brought one. Then you can say you hoped she would say that and pull it out. She will either say no or be happy that you planned ahead and thought of her. Either way it is worth the shot.

I agree with Kyle. I have never said to myself "It sure was a mistake to bring extra bikinis to the pool"

This one is from in the pool. The center is a malibu strings. The right is another wicked weasel with less coverage. I got this thinking it would never be worn. I was thankfully wrong.

For the shade Whichever side is brighter can be seen through it. So during the day you can see out noone can see in during the night if there is any lights on people can see in and you can see out. Temptation advertises that all the suites have a pull down shade but some are broken ahd eith dont work or have been removed.

I have seen pictures with 5 people in 1 but they are made for 2. There is lots of room for 2 or 3 but 4 would start to be getting crowded

A question for the returnees. Is there anywhere near the resort that sells bikinis? I'm hoping once we get there that my wife will also be more inclined to wear a thong.

The gift shop at the resort has some nice ones.
