Honeymoon

Hi, everyone! This is my first post and I've been looking through pictures of the resort and reading the various reviews of many members here. My fiance and I have been doing some looking around at possible honeymoon destinations. We know that we want to go somewhere tropical, exotic, all-inclusive, affordable, and fun. We are getting married in about two months and I found a link to Temptation Cabo earlier today and it really sparked my interest.

I've read reviews that say this place is like a smaller version of Sandals and others that compare it to Mardi Gras on crack. I'm just really not sure what to expect from this resort. I suppose that my main concern is whether or not this is a place that would be suitable for a great honeymoon.

As for us, I am 26 and my fiance is 32. We are both very laid back, easygoing people, and we love to have fun. We like lounging around, having a few drinks, and we're very affectionate with one another. We really want to spend our first week as newlyweds in a place where we can be all about each other and not have to worry about little incidentals that would come with staying somewhere that isn't all-inclusive (making reservations, getting formally attired to go out, renting a car, buying snacks to keep on hand, etc.).

Could any of you Temptation Cabo veterans help me out? Are the rooms nice? What *exactly* is included? Is there a huge difference in the types of suites? And, above all else, is this a good honeymoon spot?

we are first timers to cabo ttr and are going end of the month we will give you the low down when we get back we are going on our honeymoon there

congrats on your marriage and for us ttr cabo just seemed the perfect fit for us let you know we leave mar 27 back april 5

Congrats to you two, as well! I'd love to hear your take on the resort since we would be in very similar situations. We would be leaving on May 15 and staying for a week. Not sure what the weather will be like around then.

i pretty sure the weather will be hot but we live in British Columbia Canada so anything but rain and snow is a bonus lol we leave in 10 days and can't wait !!!

I can definitely see your point! Don't feel bad. I'm in Kentucky and the weather here is sunny and 70-degrees, but that's the best day we've had in months!

My wife and I have been to the resort 13 times, here is my opinion:

Rooms: What you see on the Temptation website is what you get. They are nice, clean, and have decent decor. For a honeymoon, I would recommend a jacuzzi suite. There is a huge jacuzzi at the resort, but being a honeymoon, a private jacuzzi would be nice at times.

Included: Pretty much everything, food, drinks, entertainment. No tipping is required but with the service you are provided, most people do offer tips, totally up to you though.

Honeymoon: That is too personal of an opinion. We have spent an anniversary there and enjoyed it. The resort is located in San Jose Del Cabo, which is a quite and beautiful location. The beach the resort is on is great for walking and watching the waves crash, not a swimming beach. Cabo, which most people know as a party location, is a 1/2 hr taxi ride.

We have been to Sandals Negril, Temptation Cabo and Temptation Cancun, here is our opinion.

Temptation Cancun is a party, awesome drinks, pool, food, entertainment but not necessarily the place I would want to spend my honeymoon. However it is the place we are returning to (in 43 days) for the 3rd time in 2 years. But we have also been married for almost 15 years, with 3 kids and really NEED and ENJOY the Adult Frat Party that TTR Cancun provides.

Temptation Cabo is more romantic and relaxing than Cancun, which would be enjoyable after experiencing the stress that a wedding can be. The beach is beautiful and Cabo San Lucas is a must. We went during the day and did a romantic boat ride to The Office for lunch and then back on the boat for a ride to Lover's Beach and the famous arch. Very special day for us. Because Cabo is in the desert the grounds are cactus and sand...very cool plants and very well kept however I didn't get that tropical feel because of the dryness of the desert. I guess I prefer the humidity.

We also have been to Sandals Negril. Extreme romance, food presentation is unbelievableplus it taste great, the beaches of Negril are some of the best in the world, Nightly shows are alot of fun and well done, however the resort is quiet at 11pm. The rooms and resort layout is very authentic Jamaican...very tropical. Games with the staff are fun but not overly sexy in adult content.

So based on your questions, everything is included in the all-inclusive at all three resorts. Tipping is also included at Sandals-if staff is caught receiving a tip they will be fired. Do an all-inclusive for sure, it makes for a more enjoyable vacation!

The rooms are best at Sandals, then TTR Cancun, then TTR Cabo.

Not sure about the suites.

In my personal opinion, I would choose Sandal for the honeymoon.

Ace is giving you good advice. Sandals, Couples Swept Away_Negril or Secrets Maroma-Riviera Maya are your best honeymoon choices. Let's be blunt: When we were at TTR Cabo during the topless volleyball game each woman gave us the tittie "shake" before she served the ball, in waist deep water. Understand? Most 26 yr old newly married women we've known don't dig their new husbands ogling this. Wait a few years for TTR...Have a great honeymoon!!

we checked out sandals it just wasn't in our budget so we chose ttr cabo and we have been together 12 years 2 kids so alittle tittie shake for my hubby on our honeymoon may be just what we need lol i love hearing from you guys that have been there it is sooooo much more exciting hearing the real ttr than some random wall post on trip advisor

we are so excited to go we leave next sunday!!!!!!!! YAHOOOOOOO

We are actually headed to Cabo for our honeymoon this month. Get there on the 28th. I'm 40, she is 33...second marriage. She is definitely looking forward to the topless part. In fact if she had her druthers, it would be naked all the time. She isn't the type to get upset at me ogling the other tittie shakes..haha.

Conor and Janelle, Ah hah! So you 2 ARE ready for this place. Your life situation is further along at this point than Missfrost. Then you WILL enjoy the tittie shake (demand it!), the porn channel running nonstop (it will get your blood up, among other things), and the late night fun at the rooftop, topless, all-you-can-drink jacuzzi/pool. We believe you will also find the resort has an intimate, sensual feel. Especially at night with the lighted landscaping in the center.

bills i am so excited to go only 5 more days till we leave!!!! ya we are definitely ready for whatever comes our way lol we are not expecting anything just going to have the most fun we possibly can. we want to upgrade our room to a jacuzzi suite at least a couple nights we are there fingers crossed

when are you guys going to be there? can you tell me some great places to check out in town? we want to get tattoos to remember the trip.any info would be much appreciated thanks -janelle

C and J, Sorry, we have no plans to get there any time soon. Maybe this September???? As for recommendations, we never actually left this resort for 4 days. we had so much fun with the group there we felt no need to leave. We thought the dancing and socializing at the outdoor Melange bar would be better than anything else.Frankly, some of it got prett damn sexy.One game at the bar ended up with some ladies in nothing but high heels and our particular group had ridiculously hot 40 somethings...Doing tequila shots there then slipping off clothes as you stroll up to the rooftop jacuzzi can get REALLY hot. Many of us lost clothes and never saw them again...Oh well...

awesome i can't wait it feels like these last couple of days are dragging lol we are htere for 10 days so think we will venture out into town at least one night??? depending on how hot the jacuzzi bar gets why bother going to town

well we are almost packed and ready and i ordered $500 worth on lingerie so i will never wear the same thing twice lol well i will message you we are taking the laptop so we can update as we go
