| I would like to hear from anyone that has been to both resorts. We have been to Temptation Cancun 3 times but were thinking about trying Los Cabos and were just wondering how anyone who has been to both feels about Los Cabos. |

Cancun I found to be more of a party atmosphere, Cabos, more of a laid back atmosphere, but the party is there if you want it. If you like scenery, there is no comparison, the mountains and everything surrounding Cabos is postcard picture perfect. At this late stage in my life, I think I prefer Cabos.

| One of the best features of the Cabo resort is the rooftop hot tub.....AWESOME!! It's a great place to meet people and party into the evening. They also have the rooftop fire pit, that's alot of fun also. Cabo is more laid back but as with Cancun it's all about the people and friends you make. We always meet lots of great folks and party until the last few minutes we have to leave to the airport. We're heading back to Cancun in February and boy are we excited! |

| Having the rooftop hottub available after drinks and dancing at the outdoor Melange Bar at TTR Cabo is the clencher for us....Plus, this resort just has a more intimate, sensual feel to it. Possibly because it is narrow in the middle with well sculpted and well lit landscaping...We chose to view our 4 days there as romantic, which we did. We both always dress VERY sharp for dinner, me in Cubavera shirts and linen pants and her in colorful , head-turning cocktail dresses, which starts the romantic mood......As for that party thang, you can get it at TTR Cabo. Be outgoing, meet everybody!!! Some of the shenanigans we got into and almost into still make me blush...At 2 am, with free drinks in hand and hot ladies topless in the tub we just didn't see anyone interested in a whole lot of rules...One night, after dancing to a decent rock band at Melange, and MANY shots, 4 well-sculpted and racked ladies, all over 40, started walking toward the rooftub tub, peeling clothes as they went. It was such a damn sight, with me and the husbands trailing behind. Finally, they had just thongs on as they went up the steps....Oh boy....I just barely had enough sense to gather up their clothes as we went..I don't know this would've played out the same way at TTR Cancun...So, at this point we also prefer TTR Cabo, but realize the club atmosphere in Cancun doesn't interest us anymore. Why we would we spend $$$ and ride taxis, etc, looking for late night fun at clubs when it is already there in a rooftop hottub with the best people anyway and your room is steps away???? PS I will confess having my wife along does elevate any party scene and usually causes other women to expand their comfort zone.... |

| for me/t there is no comparing the two. they are two completely different resorts..........and as with everything............as many people go there............as many different opinions you will find biggest difference for t/ i i think is the size. cancun is probably 5 to 6 times larger and as many have said the intimacy of los cabos is awesome.........we feel like we knwo everyone and there is never any rush there..........a slower pace allows us to spend far more quality time with each other, the people we know, and the people we would like to get to know better its a vacation in los cabos - not a frat party some days are crazy some days are lazy some days are both but you always feel apart of everything regardless as long as there is a temptation cabo we will never go to tempataion cancun again.............its really that simple for us........except of course for a friends birthday party or something like that on a special request blue bay/temptation cancun holds a very special place in our life......but like bob mentioned..........i think at this point in our life we clearly prefer cabo rob

| Once again its what you are looking for on your trip. If you want one long frat party go to Cancun. But if you want a Laid back relaxing trip go to Cabo. As said before Cancun is three/four times bigger than , so more people looking for a fun time. Cabo being smaller has a more intimacy feeling to it. Great for meeting other people and getting to know them with out others butting in. For us Cabo rules. |

| The only bad thing I could find at Cabo compared to Cancun is the lack of lounge chairs around the pool. The one side of the pool is lined with 5-6 beds that are nice enough, but we would prefer loungers actually in the sun. I am pretty sure that there are only 16 poolside loungers at the pool.

| As for New Orleans...I have to pick my vacation time 1 full year in advance and missed this great week you all have planned by just 1 week....Oh well. Probably saved us a tremendous hangover or a stay in the local jail....Color us as just plain jealous....! |

| one of the things that t and i loved more about cabo than cancun which i have failed to mention in previous posts is the fact that......... when we have gone to cancun in the spring - when we are sitting we around outdoors or at lunch we are sweating liek stuck pigs (this does not include whne we are actually moving around) in cabo we can sit down at lunch and enjoy our meal with an incredible view and a nice breeze coming off the ocean .........the nights are so mild/cool you can sit around and just simply enjoy the evening instead of feeling like you need a shower every five minutes rob

| Went to Cabo in July 10 and Cancun in July 11. Random thoughts. 1) It is probably 10 degrees hotter in Cabo in July on average. More conducive to night time activities. I personally like the cooler weather in Cancun but this is not an overriding consideration. The weather is obviously dependent on the time of year that you travel - hurricanes are a bigger threat in Cancun. 2) You can't swin in the ocean (Sea of Cortez) in Cabo unless you are Michael Phelps. But the beach in Cabo really isn't that good either. We did head down to Cabo San Lucas to do the water sports but it is a fairly expensive cab ride. Anyway, you don't go here for the beach. It is nice having the party cruise dock right next to the Cancun property. 3) Paty' O is a far better bar/club at night with DJ etc. but the rooftop hot tub at Cabo is really hard to beat. The hot tub is truly a wonderful thing. I wonder why they don't have this in Cancun? Maybe too many people around to make it work. 4) This probably changes as employees come and go but I think the activities staff at Cabo is better - more enthusiastic and more going on - the tatted up guy at Cancun is a real MF ahole in my opinion but your mileage may vary. 5) Probably an older crowd at Cabo - depends on what you are looking for. 6) Cabo obviously has more of a west coast vibe - Cancun has more Euros and east coast types. Depends on what you are looking for. 7) Airport experience/transfers are better at Cabo. Probably only matters if you are doing a short trip and want to maximize time on the ground. 8) Having the Mega store and shopping mall and ATM machines across the street from Cabo is a big plus. Also you are like a 20 peso cab ride from town (San Jose). The Cancun Hotel Zone is more isolated. 9) Pools choice is better at Cancun - 3 vs. 1. 10) Much better club scene available at Cancun. Not my thing but matters to some. 11) I found more swinging/swapping at Cabo but your mileage may vary. Maybe the harder core types in Cancun go to Desire. 11) The biggest difference is the size - if you are at Cancun and you can't find like minded people you aren't really trying. At Cabo there are fewer people so there is a greater chance (still not real great) that you could be stuck on a dud week. I suggest you try both out for size and see what happens. Bottom line they are pretty similar in vibe and are both a blast. |
