| Has anyone rented a car for the week? With the cost of Shuttles and Taxis I'm thinking about renting a Car for the week. Back and forth to the airport The Sammy Hagar Concert. Booze Cruise San Jose del Cabo exploring. Does the Resort charge for Parking per day. Any info or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated THX |

| I am looking forward to responses, I have read that if you get into a wreck you are detained immediately by the authorities until all is cleared. If you hurt someone then you are detained until you make full restitution to the family. I would love to rent a car in November when we go, but if this is the case I am hesitant. |

| They are crazy drivers there , I wouldn't drive just because I don't have to. If you do drive careful.

| We always have a car, even when we went to Asia. We have rented a car both times at Temptation Cabo, and if you are going to do ANY sightseeing you will save alot of $ and be on your own schedule. The resort does not charge for parking and as the lot only holds about 10 cars, yours will always be under a watchful eye. Drivers aren't as crazy as in Toronto lol. If you do rent a car, be a trooper and head to La Paz....simply beautiful over that way and it is not too far and the highway is a straight shot (more or less). Also, if you take a taxi from the airport and only want to rent for a day there are a couple of places inside the Mega across the street that rent. We did that the first time, but renting at the airport was cheaper for a whole week than at the Mega for one day. Last time we got a midsize for under $100 (before tax and insurance) for an entire week. As Always, The Dude Abides

| You just need to make sure you get the full mexican liability insurance. Your credit card or US insurance is not good enough. I got 11 days for like 270 bucks including all the mexican insurance and taxes. Email amiranda@cactuscar.com and say you are from TripAdvisor and would like a quote for the car with insurance. It's an unbeatable deal and everyone on tripadvisor cabo forums say to go with him. I got the car figuring even if I don't use it every day there is the option to go to cabo or san jose to eat or todos santos or go explore private beaches. Also when you factor in the cost of transport to and from the airport it is worth it in my mind. |

| A cab from hotel to airport is 20. From airport to hotel it's 40. Long way off 270. Lol. A cab cost 5 bucks to San Jose , 30 to cabo but if you go with another couple that's still cheap. Only nice thing would be to explore the private beaches , there is a nude beach if into that
