Latest track. By Sunday Rina (or what is left of her) should be well out of the area. By Monday - boobs cruise day - she'll be approx 400 miles away.

C'mon Rina is this the best you got?

12:45am Friday. Last update for tonight.

Wind has dropped significantly, still raining but not heavy. Occasional thunder. Banana tree still standing. Even the cats don't want to come in and our kids never woke up.

Checked my Facebook feed and local friends have gone to bed already.

Rina is done in Cancun and will go down as the lamest hurricane in Cancun's history.

Come on down, fun times await!

Thanks for the updates Steve! Some have cancelled but we've hung in there and are glad we did! Now, if the snow coming into the east coast this weekend doesn't bother us we'll be there on Sunday!!

Hi,
I'm coming to Temptations on Sunday and can't wait. I have been looking at the weather forecast, and glad that Rina has moved on and wasn't as bad as first thought. The 7 day forecast doesn't look too promising, with rain being shown every day. Am I going to be seeing any sunshine??
Thanks

We're among the ones who cancelled... heavy sigh! The potential East coast storm should be interesting.. hopefully it wimps out just like Rina did.

The forecast always shows rain...even if you get a 5 or 10 min light shower is will show as rain. No need to worry too much about that. Have a great time!

Friday 11:20am

No wind, no rain and the sun is shining. Access to the hotel zone has reopened and very minimal damage, just a few branches down which have already been cleared away. Looks like my banana tree didn't make it, it hasn't completely fallen but only because the tree next to it kept it from hitting the ground

I feel for all those that cancelled their trip, however, it was the right decision based on the information available at the time. Hope you will be back soon.

AccuWeather.com - News | Tropical Storm Rina Lashing Yucatan Peninsula Coast

looks like from what they are saying in this site, that the next storm to follow Rina may not happen either.

I hear ya on the banana tree issue. I just started growing mine in April and will have to wait a few more years before I see any fruit. Although mine is kept in a gigantic pot as I have to bring it inside in the winter.
