Default Dress Code Question

I am getting some mixed answers on dress code for the males at the on resort dining. When I was there a few years back I thought it was dress pants and close toe shoes. Now I am hearing shirts with collars. Does anyone who was just there have the answer? Thanks for the help

Yeah, that's my bad Cody. I think your right with the pants and close shoes. I'm the one who said collars, but then i remebered that all my shirts had collars. I would like clarification also though from someone who just went just so I'm up to date.

Last week we went to both the Italian and Asian restaurant all dressed up. Matt wore a collared shirt, dress pants and closed toed shoes.

Sitting next to us in both restaurants were numerous men wearing jeans, shorts and sandals.

So, who knows?

My husband wore jeans at both the Italian restaurant (twice) and the seafood restaurant. One night he wore a collar/button up shirt, the other two he wore a nicer t-shirt - he had closed toe shoes that were casual/suede Merrill slip on shoes. No one said anything about his clothes any of those days.

I wore resort casual attire. I had nice shorts, with a nice button up casual shirt and sandals. I had no issues. I did dress up to go to Asian restaurant but only because we met up with friends.

Glad to hear about the jeans and tshirts! LOL Ive heard mixed comments about mens attire also............have also heard it depends on the manager in charge oh and his mood! My hubby would rather be in jeans and a tshirt but they are $$ Affliction shirts, jeans etc. not like he's gonna stroll in with ripped up dirty Wranglers and a white Hanes his way tshirt on! Hopefully it will all work out or us girls can just bring our hubbys a take out box!!

Mid October visit- they appear to have eased up on the dress code for men. At both the Asian & Italian, we saw men in shorts and sandals. Considerably less "dressy" than past visits. But I doubt that's a new policy; they just seem to have quit enforcing their dress code. They could change back in a heartbeat, so it's probably safest to be prepared with at least a pair of long pants, shirt with collar, and closed toed shoes; heck, you wear that on the plane anyway. Those 2 restaurants are nice and I certainly wouldn't want to miss them on a shirt or shoes issue.
Seafood, Tex Mex, & buffet have very minimal dress code. Just shorts, something on your feet (flip flops OK), and a t-shirt are fine.

We were also there in Oct and finally asked after a few times into the Italian and Asia resturants when we saw men in shorts and flip flops. They told us they are trying it out to see how it goes. Only heard of one person being turned away - he said he had on a sleeveless shirt.

I've been to TTR 3 times this year. Of all of the times that I had dinner at the Italian and the Chinese, I always wore a nice T shirt, jeans and casual shoes or tennis shoes and never got turned away.

If your wife or gilefriend takes the time to do here hair and all the makeup and the sexy dress se puts on for you and se feel so special. Then us as men can do the effort to dress for the occasion. Just my thoughts.

I agree completely. I always felt that the nights we went to the ala carts were a bit of a dress up event.

I agree also. My wife spends a lot of time in preparing for these trips. Guys come on. Dress in slacks, shoes with toes, socks that aren't white and shirts you don't pull over your head. Clay

cheers !

Default I third the motion!

Me too, I agree that the guys should put in a bit of effort on the clothing front. Every Barbie needs a fashionable Malibu Ken. Besides, if you make the effort to look really FINE, you will surely be rewarded for your trouble!!

Nothing hotter than a tanned man in a long-sleeved button-up white linen or cotton shirt with the sleeves rolled up...oh my....

EXACTLY... just put in the effort for your woman and dress up. She'll appreciate it and you won't have worry/wonder about dress code.

Just don't wear pool clothes and you will be fine. For the reservation restaurants, you probably want some jeans and kicks with a nice short sleeved polo, but for the non-reservation just go with shorts, kicks, and colorful t's. But whatever you do, be sure to be comfortable, you're on vacation after all.
