Fortunately the douche bag level has been low on our trips to TTR.
DB'S are not that hard to deal with anyways. A piss off or go to hell will usually suffice.

We have no real concerns about single guys cause Ideally there are single girls too so there should be something for everyone.
But yes the douchebag policy makes sense its sad though cause a lot of people have a secret douchebag hidden in them when they drink, and from what I've been told apparently there is a lot of drinking going on. The sexual atmosphere is the only reason we chose this resort and we are both looking forward to seeing all aspects of it. We are trying to go there with an open mind to anything but promising nothing. I would truly hate to have to tell someone to piss off or to go to hell. Common courtesy Is just a value I demand on a daily basis regardless of where I am.
If we are there and are in a great mood and loving the atmosphere and my lil lady is in a see through bikini and someone cant help but tell her she looks amazing... well I think thats kinda the point cause I have already seen it and tell her everyday! But i would seriously be concerned that someone has the audacity to randomly grope her cause of what she feels comfortable wearing?
She like most people I would assume can do a good job giving off the vibe of what you can and cant do... With all that being said why are all the girls getting off the hook so easy lol. With all the talk about douchebags and groping, the reality is that it is rare. As others have said, when someone goes too far the group as a whole (friends and others) usually step in and shut that person down. We were there twice in 2011 and although the large groups of guys put a damper on one of our nights, the rest of the nights were amazing and everyone was very respectful. Douchebags quickly get the message that certain behavior isn't welcome and correct themselves. So I wouldn't worry. Although it sounds like your "lil lady" will attract some attention, most (if not all) of it will be very respectful.

Besides my lil princess would have just made me sound silly!
Who doesn't love attention I do hope she gets some attention in the appropriate way as I too would like attention. Gotta be honest If I spend all this time in a gym and trying to eat right and I don't even get one passing comment I might cry... haha
we are going this Sunday actually till Thursday.
We wanted to test the waters before committing to a long trip. But if the people are half as nice as all the folks on this website Im sure we will go multiple times a year.

We only had to use the "piss off" once and the guy so drunk a strong wind would have blown him over. FWIW my wife typically goes topless with a see through Malibu Strings thong. Shes gets some looks no doubt, but 99% of the people are very respectful. Most of the guys are just drooling in awe,lol. I know I do and I get to see it all the time!

We are lifestylers as many of you know. We have been hit on by a few 'dickhead' single guys at TTR but they are the minority. Within the lifestyle we don't meet or socialise with single men but TTR isn't about swinging for us.

We've met some great guys there and it's usually the large groups of guys who think they are WILD that spoil it for the tidy guys. You'llfind 'dickheads' everywhere you go to be honest. We went for a night out in Cardiff (wales'es largest city and our capital) and there was plenty of 'dickheads' about. I (les) even had one by the throat as I didn't appreciate his actions. Never ever had to do that at TTR.

When all is said and done, we got to TTR to meet some amazing people and have a laugh. I'm sure if any 'dickheads' played up the majority would actually put them in thier place.

To ask to run off all the single obnoxious guys at TTR would be like asking to run them all out of your home town!!!! there is no place in the world that is perfect....but in my opinion..TTR is the closest place to perfection my wife and I have ever found!!!!!..you will find that the most and the biggest problems youll see at TTR is when the wife enjoys the partying and the attention a little more than the husband expected them too!!!! and even those fights are fun to watch sometimes......a jealous husband trying to talk common sence to a drunk wife thats having a blast (or vise versa)!!!! can be comical....

It's not just March. When we were there in June last year we encountered a large group of guys (14 guys). Luckily there were only a few douchbags in the group and most of the guys were friendly/nice. We met a guy on his honeymoon with his wife who was the biggest douchbag of all. I think he came to TTR thinking he could have sex with every girl he wanted and was a major creepster. We felt really bad for his wife who was terrific. The guy almost got his a$$ beat by a former marine (would have loved to see that).

I guess my point is that a douchebag can be in a group of guys just as easily as a single guy or a married guy with his wife. If your a douchebag then your just a douchebag

Someone start a thread with pics of the douchey offenders. We would but we haven't been yet and we're hoping there is a minimal amount of douche-baggery going on while we are there. A couple totally drunk douche bags actually provides comic entertainment for us, but that can end quickly if the numbers climb quickly.

Have to agree...last year was our first year at TTR and we met quite a few singles and are hoping that they all come back in April so we can meet up with them again. Our trip last year was "douche bag" free In saying that...it depends on how easily offended some people are. I don't take much offence at all..we love the fun, partying and open minded people at TTR. I guess there is a fine line for some women/couples on what is flirty and flattering and what is too much...we leave our fine line at home and enjoy the fun

There were many people drinking beyond their capacity and we never saw anyone who needed to be schooled, something that would absolutely happen if we were at our local bar. I think that because of the sexual electricity in the air, people just show a little more restraint or control.

Just my 2 cents, I've been to TTR as a single 2 times. I respect everyones boundries as I would back home. If I were there with a lady I would expect the same, wife girlfriend or just friend. In my hood if someone disrespects a friend then they will have to deal with me, feel the same way when I am there. That said, in my last two tours in Temtation I have not seen any of that stupidity.

First of all I really enjoy everyones comments. We are newbie soon to experience Temptation in Oct. 2012. I hope we can alot of nice friendly peoples, as for the disrespectiful singles guys I haven't had hardly any problem with that, I think I have been lucky in the people we meet or that fact that my hubby 6'5 255 lb black man who has a funny way of dealing with disrespectiful SOB. We haven't had any problems. We go there knowing the Mrs. is going to be looked at, approached, commented to or about... If I was single and saw her, can't say I wouldn't try to approach her to see if there is interest on her part or if I could flirt. In addition, it is much more entertaining to see some of the guys crash and burn with their tactics.

Excellent Post! As a experienced couple in the sls we've only ran into a couple douchebags. As a retired police officer I have a delicate way of dealing with obnoxious folks Though Nov 21 will be our first trip to TTR my guess is at a place like that rude behavior more than likely will come from a single not in the sls or like previous comments from a group of young Dicks.

I'm a single guy (going to be there next week...YES!!) and very respectful.... I could never imagine coming on to a married or "taken" woman while she is on vacation together....some guys (douches) have lot of nerve.

We are choosing TTR Cancun specifically over Cabos, and Desires because it welcomes singles.

Great post, we also picked TTR because it is single friendly. Tara enjoys being stared at, hit on, flirted with etc... Although she is so sexy and hot she doesn't think so. This is a huge confidence booster for her. We enjoy playing with single males and single females. It is also more difficult to find 4 people that are all attracted to each other then it is to find 2. We have been in the lifestyle for 10+ years and in the begining when you are living out your fantasies one partner may take one for the team. Now that we have lived out most of our fantasies neither of us are taking one for the team.

Neither one of us have any issue dealing with the douchebags either. Someone touches Tara if she doesn't want to be and they will know it. She has a mean jab...lol

Nicely done Soop. At the Hedos, they are quickly spotted if misbehaving and word spreads like wildfire around the resort. "Wally's" and "Vinnies" are quickly dealt with and they usually end up around the other pools and never going back to the nude side, hence the remainder of their vacation is not as anticipated. Single's are welcome of course, just be cool.

In our 5 previous trips to BBG/TTR, we have actually encountered only two (2) REAL douchebags, not your typical single (or married I guess) guy who has way too much to drink and crosses a line he can no longer see. Most of the time, when sober, those guys are mortified that they acted the fool.

Please don't be a douchebag, fellas. As the OP at the top says, if you aren't a douchebag, you can find plenty of people willing to talk, and then maybe flirt, and if you and they are amenable, perhaps playtime would follow. But, that decision is NOT up to you.

Just a few things that crossed my mind while reading:

1. It has to all come down to respect and communication. People don't always realize that what they are doing is obnoxious, offensive or making others uncomfortable (even if they maybe should). It is just as important to learn to express when you are bothered or uncomfortable as it is to make an effort to treat others well.

2. Ladies, if you're walking around in next to nothing, you simply cannot complain about being hit on (if done in all earnestness), drooled over or stared at. As someone who most often would prefer to bat for the proverbial "other team", these things are generally meant in a very positive way, and should be taken as such. Should you be groped against your will and the like? certainly not. Do you have a right to ask people to leave you be? Of course. But if you don't realize the power behind the sexy outfit you are wearing and don't feel prepared to deal with the treatment if gets you, then perhaps you should rethink it somewhat?

3. Gentlemen, I appreciate you are all big and strong and want to protect us, but sometimes we ladies need to learn to stand up for ourselves. By all means, ensure the safety of the one you love, but also understand that if she is putting it out there in public, there are going to be people that will respond to it just as you yourself do/would.

4. Unfortunately there is no "douche-o-meter", so we all have to just develop our own. Being over a certain age, or single or married or female or male or gay or straight or anything else does not a respectful and positive individual make. All sorts of people have the potential to ruin a good time for others -that's just a risk you have to take if you are leaving the confines of your home, ESPECIALLY if there is drinking and etc. involved.

5. I have to finally end by agreeing with the original post that I would be sad if there were couples only at this resort. We aren't lifestylers per se, but we do have an extremely free/open/flexible relationship in many senses, and I would hate to have anything diminish the sexual charge or new partner potential while on vacation.
