Transportation airport to Isla

We booked our first two days at Isla and were wondering about tranfers vs. taxi from airport to the Port. Has anyone flown in and stayed at Isla before coming to TTR? If so, any suggestions on transport to the port to take the ferry to the island?

We've used Best Day many times and had great service. Google it.

Best day is an option if you dont mind sharing.

If you prefer private transfer then check out USA Transfers who offer one way to the Isla Mujeres ferry terminal for just $39. Lots of people here use them and I don't think I've seen a bad report ever.

Thanks Steve, We used USA Transfers last year round trip but had to share with many on the way back to the airport. Not a big deal as long as we got to the airport on time. We are also going to spend the first three days on Isla before checking into Temp. on Feb. 22nd. Would USA take us to the ferry to Isla and then take us back to the airport from Temp. at the conclusion of our vacation for the price of a round trip fare? How far is it from the ferry terminal to Temptation and what is the best way to make that trip? Taxi? USA's website doesn't seem to address these nuances. Thanks for your advise.

From the ferry back to TTR is a short cab ride. We had planned to take the ferry back to port and grab a cab to take us to TTR. I can't remember how much it was for cab fare for that distance though.

As far as the transfers, we normally just get a one way from airport and then take a cab from the resort so we can leave when we want to not on their schedule.

Do you remember what the approx. cost of the cab fare back to the airport was from Temptation on your return? If we book through USA, round trip to Isla Mujeres and back is $65. We would just have them pick us up at TTR for the trip to the airport. Round trip to and from TTR is $55, so we lose a couple bucks.
