Default Best Way to Book: through TTR website? Expedia? Elsewhere? Does it matter?

Any opinions on best way to book a week at Temptations? Through the TTR website itself? Expedia or Travelocity? Elsewhere? AND any reason it'd matter, other than maybe small price difference? THANKS!

Hey there, this our 7th visit and we have always gone with a package deal, but I've been checking out this Alpharooms and not sure for you guys south of us Canadians but for us we noticed the rooms are 1/2 the price as compared to Expedia and Temptations and many others. This however is our first time doing this but have seen others on here that have used it and haven't heard any complaints. (If you do it be sure to call your credit card company and inform them before you make the reservations this company is in the UK)

For us, it seems a package deal directly through Temptations seems to be the best price. We booke our first trip last Feb and our upcoming Jan 22 trip through them.

We used Cheap Caribbean last year, and Travelocity for our upcoming trip. Travelocity ended up saving us about $400-$500, and we're even staying one night longer this year.

Expedia was the cheapest for us this year, especially w/ a free $200.00 debit card refund when we get back!

If you can get a cheap flight from where you live, then book your room with Alpharooms through Steve's link. If you cannot get a cheap flight, like us flying from Minneapolis, then it is cheapest to book through Expedia and combine the flight/hotel. However, if you want an ocean view room or any better room than the standard garden view room, don't use Alpharooms, they are only low when it comes to standard garden view rooms.

We just shop around. One trip it was cheaper thru TTR. Another trip through Bookit.com. Another Travelocity. This time through Expedia. Wherever was cheapest with decent flight times, that's where we book.

We've booked through a few different places and a few times the resort tries to give us one of those standard garden view rooms. We asked to change it and it wasn't a problem. Now my question is with this alpharooms will I have a problem changing rooms. I'm not a fan of the garden veiw rooms only because the bathroom window faces into the room. However for 1000.00 dollar savings how much do you stay in the room??

Traveling from Indiana ...going in April. Used Alpharooms for the first time. Had used Vacation Express 4 other times. I always book my own air. Saved 350.00 this time with Alparooms also went and got a prepaid mastercard and saved the credit card fee when booking. Plan on booking transfers with USA Transfer.

Deb we have used Alpharooms and had our choice of rooms when we got there. So I would say you can change rooms even though you used Alpharooms.

We shopped online and found flight times we liked and price we wanted. Took that info to our travel agent and she matched
the price. Nice to keep business local when possible!

In July, we went for 12 nights, from canada it was cheaper to book air and hotel right with ttr, in nov and this trip in jan, booked with redtag vacations which was the best deal around. A lot of times it's only 800 ppr or less for all in even with transfers for seven nights. Luggage and meals on the flights included too.

The last couple years, Orbitz has been the best for flying out of St. Louis but this year, Apple Vacations won the deal. We love nonstop flights and pay a little extra for the luxury.

Happy Shopping!

I know this is a UK answer but the same may be true for our US and Canadian cousins - we were just about the click "book" with Expedia and then I looked at the terms and conditions and saw that Expedia were using a particular travel agent in the UK for the booking. I found the agent online and found that going direct to them saved £300 (no idea what that is in $ I'm afraid!) for exactly the same holiday AND we could pay in two halves whereas Expedia wanted payment in full.

I may have just bored you to death or given you a top tip! Who knows?!

We have used Apple for both trips. Great customer service and non-stop flight from St. Louis.

As a Travel Agent i recommend you shop around.
Check to see who has the best offer for you and yours.
You really have to shop around and weigh. As it has been said earlier last years bargains may have changed drastically.

We used Travelocity. We found that by creating our own package, we were able to save a few hundred dollars per person compared to all the other sites!

If SpiritAir flies to where you are - they are dirt cheap, and you can get the rooms through Alpharooms. Last year I bought through travelocity (and I tried all things) and this year is Cheap Caribbean. But after I found out about Spirit air - that would have been cheaper to do.
