Any advice for a newbie on the express check-in. Any special requests and are they usually honored? I am arriving Feb. 19.

I used it in Jan when I went and you can request whatever you want but they will tell you that they will do their best to get you what you want. I requested a certain room or a room in that area and when I got there I had to re ask about the room. Ended up getting it but don't think the express check in request made a difference. I didn't notice any faster check in since I still had to do the whole address part and phone number on check in like I had to do in the past. Plus they will also have to take a photo copy of your passports also when you check in. So as for express check in I didn't see it any faster then usual and as for the request I didn't notice my request on my check in paperwork either.

it won't hurt to do the express check in was just saying I didn't notice it any faster but maybe it is. I just like it since after you do do it you get a confirmation that they have you on file and your check in is ready. I know that some people get sent to a different resort SOMETIMES if they are over book so I would think doing the express check in would most likely stop that from happening. Again SOMETIMES they overbook and put you up for a night at Desire but doesn't happen too often. I go single so I usually don't have to worry about not getting a room the day I am there since DESIRE is for couples. So I would still do the express check in since if they try to send you to DESIRE for a night you can use the arguement you did the express check in which means they already have you as checked in. Just sayin Rob

Thanks for your help. I am gonna do it. What do you think about the rooms in the 5000 area. I want to be able to sleep occasionally.

They dont always send their over-flo to Desires. They have other subsidiary hotels in the HZ they also use.

We were in the 5000 area & it was nice & quiet, I'm a light sleeper & was never bothered, out in the courtyard area you might hear others if they are enthusiastically wrestling on the balcony.... it's couple of minutes walk to the bars, but was never an issue. Some people got lost because of the fog or something, but it was all good! | |
