Default Can't get Alpharooms to Respond to Emails

I'm starting to get really concerned. Even though I was a little nervous about it (because I've read some negative things about them), I booked our room through Alpharooms for April. I contacted them a few times by email before the booking process and they responded right away. Since I made the reservation and the money has come out of my account, I can't get them to reply. I booked on Saturday. I waited until Tuesday to contact the hotel and they do not show our reservation. I've sent Alpharooms three emails since Tuesday and can't get them to respond to explain why Temptations doesn't have our reservation. Any suggestions or insight into this would be great because I'm really getting worried.

we have used them a few times and are booked with them for April. i would give it a few more days to check ttr.. as long as you have the confirmation from alpha room everything should be fine. many people use them with no problems..we have never checked with ttr to see if they have our reservations prior to getting there.. so if you have any problems, please let us know too.. lol.. i am not worried though..

we have used them many times and never had a problem. You may have better luck calling them if you are worried.

I don't understand why you would need to contact Alpharooms, you have your confirmation and it's paid for. Temptation dont add their bookings to the system until a few weeks before, if you're going in April it wont show in their system until maybe mid March.

Not sure what 'negative things' you've read because I don't recall seeing anything negative.

We booked through them a cpl weeks ago after alot of research. We received a confirmation email from them within seconds. We havent tried to contact them since then so cant comment on that but after reading many many good reviews from people who have booked through them we are not concerned & I dont thin you should be either. You got a great deal through them & will have an awesome time once you get there.

I have used them 3 times and always got confirmation and then your voucher. That is all you need. Steve is right the resort doesn't really add all the bookings till about a month ahead. First time I used them I also contacted the resort and they didn't have me in their system but about 3 weeks before I went I emailed them again and they did have it. Last year I keep extending my dates by a couple days 3 different times so it showed I had 3 check in and 3 checkout dates and they had all 3 and keep me in the same room. Only problem is I had to do check in and out 3 times but no big deal since I keep the same room. You can trust alpharooms otherwise Steve wouldn't promote them if anyone from here had problems.

we have used them several times. Our first time we did the same thing and tried to contact them. the problem is that the email we used is not monitorred regularly. I would suggest going to their "manage my booking" I always got responses that way. Steve is right. They dont forward reservation information until a couple weeks before. As I said we had concerns as well and it was all for nothing. Never had any issues at all. Rest easy.

Does anyone know how to contact Alpharooms from the States? I attempted to pay my balance, tonight, but my booking is no longer showing up. The deposit was processed and I have an itinerary number, but nothing shows up under "Manage My Booking". Does anyone know of an email address I might be able to get some help with?

Make sure you contact your credit card company before booking transaction with Alpharooms as it is a foreign company and different cards have different policies.

The funny thing is, when I enter my Itinerary number with a different date, it returns an error. However, when I use the correct date, it takes a couple of minutes to cycle through, then connects to my bookings which says I have no current bookings...

Call me old fashion but I still like to work with my trusty ole travel agent. It might cost me a few dollars more ( not usually ) but I sure sleep better when he books my trips. I like to talk to a person who cares about my welfare instead of an "internet entity" that has little empathy for my well being. Value can be measured in other ways besides price. I do however understand to some it is always about the price and it is worth the extra trouble dealing with the big impersonal online travel sites. But to each his own.

Ok just checked my bookings to see my info and I get the same thing. They say no current bookings also. I have a feeling they may be having issues with there site. I will be checking everyday myself and hope it is just problems with their system for now. I have my vouchers which is all I should need but will still be contacting them to see what is up.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. Yesterday I signed in to "manage my booking" and sent them a support ticket. Whoever said that was the best way to contact them was right. I got a response a few hours later. They assured me that my booking is confirmed. They said they reserve a block of rooms at the hotel and that it would be a couple of weeks before they send them my details. I feel better just being able to get in touch with them.

I was concerned because on other sites I had read about people booking through them and then when they got to the hotel, they didn't have their reservation, and they couldn't get in touch with Alpharooms by phone -- said they held for an hour and a half and finally gave up.

But I'm going to take off my "worry" hat (which I'm famous for) and start getting excited about the trip. Again, thanks.

Still no luck. I feel better knowing it's not just me, but I would still like that warm, fuzzy feeling back. I think I'll give them until Tuesday before I make a phone call...

Most likely your travel agent still books you via a larger impersonal agency and deals with them on your behalf, adding something on top for doing so.
