BBG trip # 3, March 3-10...WOW...a few pix added

First off, apologies for the length.

We are back and starting to regain sleep and time.

I finally discovered a way to stop the week from going so fast, if you don't sleep the days and nights are longer. The longest we slept in a 24 hr period was 7 hours and that was from 5:00 until 1:00 the day we arrived. It also puts your trip and experiences in a sort of surreal experience.

Anyway, some of the memories are already fading; I had to look at my mini trip report posted while I was down there in order to remember some details.

We arrived on Sat March 3-07 after having been up since 6:30 a.m., Friday Mach 2-07, we caught perhaps an hour of catnaps on the plane and before leaving. We finally arrived at the BBG around 12:30, our rooms weren't ready so we went and changed and went down to the pool, right away, Brent from Checkthis2020 recognized and called us over. We sat with Brent and Brenda and their friends Rochelle and Steve until the pool closed a 5:00. We headed up to our room for a catnap and didn't wake until 1:00 in the morning, the bars were closed, but I had bought some rye at duty-free and we mixed some coke and water and had some shots down at Margarita's. Brent and Brenda and Rochelle and Steve were just arriving back from I think Senor Frog's, they had used the slide and Rochelle had really hurt her back. Anyway, we visited with them for about an hour and then they headed off to bed; Barb and I sat for awhile longer and then headed down to the beach. There was a half dozen people down there so we sat and chatted for awhile. One girl, Cindy, from Toronto was super loaded and had to be at the airport in two hours. We did some skinny dipping and tried avoiding security, it was all in fun. At about 5:00 everyone left so went to our room and grabbed our Orange blanket and went down to the lounge chairs to sleep. We slept until about 7:30, went and had some breakfast, changed and returned to the pool.

It is now Sunday, we hung by the pool all day, met more new people, met Mark and Lis and their friends, told them about the board and visited for awhile. In the afternoon we met up again with Brent and Brenda and Rochelle and Steve, shot the breeze until about 5:00 and with memories fading headed back to the rooms. This time we were up by 8:00. We went and ate, had some more drinks and then entered the beer drinking contest, we were both out in the first round, we went back to Margarita's and had some more drinks, Barb began fading really fast at this point, Brent called it melting and it was an appropriate term, pictures of her at this point are hilarious, she was sinking slowly down until she was laying across the round bed, it was funny. We decided we should go and we stood her up for some final pictures, when we left we heard the music bopping in Nice Shoes and Barb decided she wanted to go dancing, we went in and started dancing around, we met Paul and Dixie from St.Louis and hung with them for a bit in here. We closed the place down and then headed back to the room, had another drink and then finished at around 2:30.

It is now Monday, got up about 6:00 and went and grabbed some pool chairs. I kept trying to wake Barb, she wouldn't get up. Finally at around 8:30 she made it down to the chairs only to sleep until about 10:30. It was funny here; we were sitting right next to Bethy from the board and didn't realize it. Finally Ryan got up and said "Are you guys B & B" we confirmed it and met the four of them and shot the breeze for a bit. Brent and Brenda came down and asked if we were up to shopping in town. Barb made it up but wasn't in good shape. We headed off up town and Barb perked up a little. We grabbed some souvenirs for our kids and then walked from the Jimmy Buffet mall to the Coco Bongo mall. It seemed like a while but the girls handled it no problem. We finally flagged a bus down and went back to the BBG. I forget what happened next, I do know that we met up with IbizaSue in this time frame and I also recall that in the evening we met up with Brent and Brenda and with a new couple Matt and Mandy, we hung out and talked and Matt and Mandy invited us all for dinner on their gold bracelet. We didn't think we could without reservations so we declined but they insisted and somehow they got us in. Dinner was great and we headed back to Nice Shoes for some dancing. Barb and I sneaked out at about 11:00 and made our way back. She still wasn't a 100% for the booze cruise and I was hoping she could make it. I told her if she couldn't I would understand and would not go without her, however we would be paying Steve as too many people in the past had made commitments and then backed out, and as I had declared on this board that people should follow through on their commitments there was no way I would back out.

Tuesday was now here, at 3:00 I couldn't sleep anymore, so I sat on the balcony for a bit and then I kept disturbing Barb so I had 4 beers left from a six-pack and went and wandered the resort for a bit. I went on the internet at 4:30 and posted a mini-trip and took some pictures of the sun coming up and finally got Barb up around 6:30. I also called Brent and Brenda to remind them, they hadn't committed so I kept after them. Brent called me nuts and said they hadn't made it in until about 3:00, I told him that's when I got up. We all laughed and then they said if they made it they would make it. Around 8:30 we gathered out front, we met up with Rondiggt's and their crew from another hotel, four of them, IbizaSue, Bety and Heather and their husbands equals 4, Barb and I, SaskD&J and LakeKevin was another four, so we had fifteen plus Steve and Jannet and their beautiful daughter Dani. It was nice that everyone that had made a firm commitment in the posting actually made it. The booze cruise started out in a windy cloudy day, we used a ferry to get over to the island and had to share it with other tour groups and children, and everything went up from here. We sat on the beach fro awhile, had all we could drink, a few goofy bars, had that fantastic fish and finally found the name of it, grouper, I have since asked my local supermarket about it and they get it in on occasion. After a few hours we got back on the ferry and went to a different spot within the island, through an inlet and past all these cool boats and marinas. When we finally docked Steve was able to arrange golf carts for us. There was a slight mishap with Rondigts crew which slowed things down a bit and as we only had an hour we didn't get to cruise a whole lot. It was still a blast however. On the way back Steve arranged a catamaran, which we shared with some breakers. It was fun going back, drinking, dancing, swaying in the breezes. They dropped the breakers off at one spot and then we got dropped off right at the BBG. Thanks go out to Steve for a fantastic time. When we got back I think we slept for a bit, and then we got up, I don't know if we ate supper but we went dancing. We met up with Brent and Brenda, Matt and Mandy, met some new people, Steve and Becky, and Blair and Gayle, Gayle wore t-shirts with great sayings on them. We all danced for awhile, I even got to cage dance with Barb, I only removed my shirt and belt, and nobody wants to see this overweight bald boy up on the cages...lol. Anyway, we were kicked out at about 1:00, I asked Brent as this was his there last night if he wanted to get some beer and we would visit and shoot the breeze down on the beach. Brent and Brenda agreed and we grabbed some Beer next door and went down to the beach. We shot the breeze, laughed and goofed off, finally called it a night at around 5:00. Brent and Brenda went to their room, Barb and I grabbed our sheet and slept down at the pool again. I have to say that this day was our highlight day and the night was our highlight night.

It is now Wednesday, still three days to go, time is moving at a nice pace. More of the same mornings, bar opens at 10:00, grab about 4 tequila sunrises, drink them down and switch to beer. Bethy came down with Heather and offered us her Champagne, she didn’t remember receiving it the night before, we had some laughs and said good bye. Brent and Brenda come and say their byes at around 12:30, we sit and around and shoot the breeze. Matt and Mandy came over at around 1:30 and we sat around all afternoon having beers and getting to know each other. SaskD&J and LakeKevin also came to visit with us. We all talked and then Matt and Mandy said they were going to Coco Bongo’s that night and wanted to know if we wanted to come along. We agreed and after dinner and a sleep we went out to Coco Bongo’s. We got the VIP through the hotel, we sat just behind the screens so the view wasn't the greatest, but it was still a fantastic time. We were there with Matt and Mandy and Steve and Becky and Jason and Bobbie from Winnipeg. Before going to the club one of the guys decided to get his nipples pierced, we went upstairs in a tattoo parlour. I did not realize what a naive person I am until I was up here. Everything turned out well, but there was a bit of trepidation. Anyway, after Coco Bongo’s we left with Matt and Mandy and got back to the BBG around 3:00 a.m., had some cheeseburgers and visited out in Margarita’s until about 3:30.

On Thursday got up at around 5:30, went and got some chairs and came and woke Barb up. She is starting to get annoyed with me waking her up by this point but I can't sleep. Anyway, we went and grabbed our spots and wandered around for a bit. Seen Matt and Mandy as they were getting ready to leave at about 7:00, he wasn't feeling that well. At about 9:00 we went down to the pool and I waited for the bar to open. Had a bunch of drinks and just sat around most of the day, SaskD&J visited with us most of the day as did LakeKevin. At around 3:30 I entered the ping pong tournament, Omar cleaned house here, fantastic player, I told him he was a sandbagger but I don't think he knew what the term meant and he wasn't sure if I was insulting him. In the last game he won about 21-11, most of his serves being an underhanded slice from about fifteen feet behind the table, barely clearing the net and then spinning off on contact. After the tournament, we had a few more drinks with SaskD&J and LakeKevin and then went for a snooze. Woke up and went dancing again, and hung out at Margarita's. Steve and Becky came around and when we were shut down from Nice Shoes, we all went to the minimart for more beer. On the way back we had a couple of cheese burgs and then went and sat in the Hammocks. This took us until about 3:30; there was some of the British Boys hanging out this night. We shot the breeze with a couple of them, we bade Steve and Becky goodnight and went to bed about 3:30. When I came down at around 6:00 the British Boys were still going. It was funny.

This was now Friday and our last full day. After getting the chairs, Barb and I came down at about 7:30, The British Boys were still going, we grabbed some money from the bags and headed into town, we picked up some more souvenirs and then came back, met with our rep and then were down to the pools at around 11:00. We started out with some more Tequila sunrises and then switched to Beer. Steve and Becky were down there as was SaskD&J and LakeKevin. Steve and Becky went in the perfect couple contest so Barb and I swam over to the swim up bar and took pictures for them. We met with another couple Paul and Lynn from Chicago and laughed with them. They had friends Frank and Bonnie from Ohawa entered whom they were cheering on. Got some great pictures in this contest, especially of Steve getting kicked into the water from Becky. Also heard some great response to questions in this contest especially from Frank and Bonnie and again from Steve. After the contest Barb and I stayed at the swim-up bar. Paul went to his room and filled a water bottle with Vodka and then got an energy drink from the gift shop. We sat and drank this stuff at the swim up bar as well as some tequila shooters, red ones and blue ones, tasted good, not sure what they were. Things were beginning to get wild and there was lots of hooting and hollering, Barb and I sneaked off and went to the room for a bit, had a snooze and went back to Margarita's by 7:30. Visited with everyone, bought a few more gifts, seen IbizaSue off for her birthday and then went dancing. We called it a night by 1:30, I put in a wake-up call for 5:00 and this finished our trip.

Saturday, up at 5:30, check out by 6:30, picked up at 7:30, finally tired, slept on the way to the airport, got inside, did some shopping, flight delayed 1 hour, slept in chairs, got on the plane, slept in the air. Man I couldn't get enough sleep all of a sudden. Landed in Toronto, cleared customs, pick up luggage, get car by 5:00, head home, stop at a Boston Pizza for supper for us and the kids, grab a couple beers while waiting. Finally home by 7:30, sleeping by 9:30, did not get up until 7:30 the next day.

Impressions: Fantastic vacation, really enjoyed it, met great people, no rephrase that to wonderful people, some that we hopefully keep in touch with even potentially meeting up with away from the BBG, went on a booze cruise, went to Coco Bongo’s, slept on the beach a couple of times and did all of this with the most fantastic, beautiful, woman that I know. She was super sexy this week in her WW and is just the perfect companion to share her life with me. I cannot say enough here without getting too sappy.

Will we go back: This was our third trip, I think down the road we will be there for our fourth.

I think I ran into this girl that morning. She had to take her shoes off to walk, because the flip-flops were to complicated in her then current state. I helped her with her bag up the ramp to the lobby because she kept flipping it over. She looked up at me and said " you're such a good person. I'm so drunk".

First off Bob, Why say sorry for the length. Something on you Bob needs to be long. :lol: :lol: :lol: You know I am talking about your hair! Dont you?

We had a great time with you Barb and Bob. But I must disagree with one thing Bob.....My wife is the best and Barb is a very close second. :wink: But OMG how close she truly is.

You two did not sleep at all and we were shocked how you kept going. We got home and did not leave the house for 4 days. All we could do once we got here was sleep. We did not feel like we slept much while there but you two for sure slept less than we did. And the nerve of that woman that woke you on the beach by squeeeeezing your big toe. Someone should have slapped her. :lol: :lol:

It was so fun hanging with you two and we will get a T/R done soon and get some pic posted for all to see. And Bob you know where to send the sexy and funny pics right. You should really get on that soon!!!!!!! We will have to plan a trip up to "EH" town one of these days.

This was really a great trip and meeting all of you was so much fun. Keep in touch with us and maybe just maybe we will have to make a return trip. Thank you again Bob and Barb and to all the other great people we met.

Sounds like we all have lots in common, some time we'll have to plan a beach party for 3 a.m.

Overall the trip was a blast.

I did have one complaint that I forgot to mention. I love to see the girls in the cages as much as the next guy, but I was a little apprehensive a few times, one time I told Barb to be careful up there, she was dancing and all was innocent, but there was a line-up of College age guys with camera's flashing.

Another time through the week there was this older guy about 55 who was just standing around with his hands in his pockets staring up at the girls in the cages. Every few minutes he would pull out his camera and take a picture, there was a few times he lined himself up for crotch shots. I felt like bumping him and kicking his camera but didn't want to create a ruckus. I seen him doing the same thing 2 nights in a row at nice shoes bar and he was there by himself.

Earlier in the week, and I complained about college kids in my mini trip report, during some contest at the sexy pool where the girls removed their tops, there was lines of guys with their cameras operating on zoom from the beach side of the sexy pool taking and comparing photos.

I guess the message is to be aware of what you are doing.

Overall the trip was a blast though and I look forward to going back.

I was having such a good time and was totally unaware of what was going on down below.

Such a shame, as I LOVED the cage dancing!! Next time, we plan to visit in late April when hopefully the college kids will not be there.

That really sucks. Nothing kills a party knowing your actions are being recorded.

I'm a big fan of camera's and video camera's being banned at the sexy pool / nice shoes, etc.
