How to tell whether BBG is for you or not?

Oi Lis, I was gonna take Pesos cos it's easier but the Dollar rate is pretty good at the mo, so we'll get more for our money!

I have already started drinking water and taking aspirin. The really scary thing is I have been in the bar business for 15 years so I have learned to drink with the best of them. But this crew, even I have to work to keep up with.

The thing I have to do this year is NOT decide to just stay drunk to avoid the hangover. That's what I did last year and it bit me in the *ss. So folks if you say me crawling and "speaking in tongues" at night, do not let me have more than one drink before tequila volleyball the next day, then make sure I also drink water, throughout the day!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with staying in bed until 3PM...Dany and I do it all the time.

Just by reading everybody's responses, I am sure that my wife and I and the other couple we are going with are going to have a blast this August when we finally get there. The only other place I have traveled to for this type of vacation is to Jamaica. My wife and I spent a week at a Sandals Resort. We absolutely loved it. If anybody has been to a Sandals (Royal Caribbean to be exact) how does the BBG compare? I know that the Sandals is geared more towards romance, couples only etc... How does the BBG compare??? Any insight will be appreciated.

Thanks for the info, this site has been a great source of usefull info I too had heard after booking my vacation that it was a nudist/swinger resort, I am glad to hear that it is not.

I haven't been to Sandals, but in comparisons I've read on this Board, Sandals is gear, as you said, to couples and therefore is more quite and allows the couples to be by themselves.

BBG is geared more towards the central party tthat couples and singles alike come to. It's more of a mixer for folks to get togehter.

Lets just say this... Ive been to the sandel in Jamica.. Ive been to aruba, caymen and many other islands... BUT never have I ever stayed in sucha fun resort in my life!! And this website really makes it even better since you get to meet all these wonderfull people before hand...so when you get there, its like youve already known eachother for years!
I just got home last week and i came home and IMMEDIATELY booked for may... thats how much fun it is

Whiners can find fault with anything. They are the type of people that search for any little thing to complain about and then turn it into a major production. The sands too hard, the beds too soft, the beds too hard, not enough sand, not enough chairs, foods bad, drinks are watered down, drinks are too strong, massages weren't free, it's too hot, it's too cold, there were too many people, the bars were too crowded..... I could go on for hours.

If you go on vacation, be on vacation. Don't sweat the little stuff. Be friendly. Say please and thank-you. Appreciate the work being done to make your vacation the best. Try something new. Or, as they used to say on M*A*S*H, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

If you don't like something, move on. QUITYOURBITCHIN and enjoy or don't go back.

My wife and I and my Brother and his wife went on a cruise this February. From what I read a lot of people said, I hated it for this reason or for that reason. Some true and some just lies. We went with an open mind and realized that we did not pay a kings ransom for the trip. Our expectations did not compare to the trip at all. From what some people said we didnt know what to expect, but we were treated like royalty. Anything we imagined was surpassed by a thousand fold. None of us wanted off the ship. Yeah, there were little things wrong with it...But, thats how life goes.. The good outweighed any negatives. I am walking into this trip the same way.... I am going knowing that I am not walking into 5 star splendour... I am walking into fun and that beats 5 stars any day in my book..

And for the people worried about their rooms? Our rooms on the ship were 117 sq. feet. Ours had a golf ball sized hole in the door of the closet...Guess what? It was still the best week of my life..

I guess its a touch different. If I showed up at Husky Stadium in the winter in shorts and no shirt Id feel like an idiot..At BBG I will feel pretty normal..
