Default Dinner reservation coupons

I've done a lot of research on this resort, and have booked a trip for November. A group of 4 people will be going, and I have a question about how the dinner coupons work.

We're going for 8 days, and from what I understand we will be given 3 dinner coupons each. My question is: If I were to make a reservation for all 4 of us, would I use only my coupon, or would I need to use 4 coupons?

I've also seen in previous posts that people were able to "buy" extra coupons, are you still able to do this?

Welcome to the board! Ask any question & you are likely to find an answer or opinoin here. Many repeaters here to help. I believe it is one coupon per couple. I would not buy any additional coupons for several reasons. One the food is execellant at the restaurants however it is food the average person is not used to eating, top of the line if you know what I mean. Secondly reservations are sometimes a pain because you make them the day of, which reqiures someone getting up early to beat the crowd or you be left with a 9:45 reservation. Third many people don't use all of their coupons so they are giving them away as they leave their stay at BBG. Fourth & probably the biggest reason is you don't want to be tied down to time restrictions. Many dinner reservations are missed because too much fun was had during the day & people are still partying or done partying & passed out.[ done both ] So IMO don't miss the specialty restaurants but don't get to wrapped up in them either . The buffet food I think is good & usually works into your schedule better. I'm sure you will get other opinoins but that is what this board is for. HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!! Scott & Lori

I totally agree with you. This will be my third trip and I haven't made it to any of the specialty restaurants yet. The buffet is great and fits into our schedule better

You should get three coupons, and the other couple also get three coupons. If you choose to eat together, you would be able to eat six times at the specialty restaraunts. I don't believe there are ways to buy extra coupons.

It takes a little planning for the specialty restaraunts, but IMO it is well worth it. I am up well before 8am anyway. For us, the Italian is excellent, and we get to see some old friends when we are there. I feel the Asian is even better, and we really enjoy dining a few feet from the ocean.

If you show up dressed appropriately you can get in sometimes without the coupon. I have tried twice and got in both times without a problem. If they have an open table they will put you in.

You cannot "buy" extra coupons...you never could.

People may get them from other guests that are not going to use all their but you cannot buy extras.

We have been the past 2 years and not used one coupon. Too much fun to stop to go eat fancy food lol.

Default More than one couple per coupon

I just got back last night. We also went with another couple. When we made reservations, they let us use one coupon for all 4 people.

I do agree that it sucks to be tied to a time restriction, but the food is really great. We made it to the Italian and the Steak/Seafood. Both were great.

If you eat at the Italian, I highly recommend getting the Salmon or Chicken and Spinach. They were the best.

I think my personal favorite is the Village Wok.

If you go, ask for Jose to be your waiter. He will take excellent care of you.

There were 4 in our party (2 couples) and I made the dinner reservations as I am an early riser. I was able to make reservations for all 4 of us on 1 coupon each night.
In my opinoin the specialty restaurants are worth the time it takes to make reservations and sticking to a schedule. The food is good and the atmosphere in them all is very nice. I enjoy a nice sit down meal also.
We also thought the buffet food was very good.

That is very true. I just returned froma week stay. We were able to get in twice to the restraunts.
It is a pain in the butt to make reservations.
Reservations open at 730am at the italian restraunt and 8am at the premier/RCI office...... If you are any later than that you would probally be looking at a 9pm reservation...
Sometimes you can do a walk in to the restraunts.... but that is only the case probally 10% of the time.
The food is great tho.!!!
Now to you having 3 coupons per room..... that will only give you 3 reservations each per couple.... more or less a reservation for 4 at each restraunt..

Zack,

You were holding out on me buddy! I love the oriental restaurant if you had coupons I would have helped you out with them! We dinned with another couple in May and 1 coupon was all that was needed. BBG will do everything they can to make sure you have a good time as long as you are nice to them a small tip goes a long way. Anyone that has extra please pass them along to anyone that is staying, someone will enjoy them.

I must add that you should be sure to dress according to the dress code for the reservation restaurants.
While we were dining at the Italian, a family with adult children, was denied seating because they were all wearing flip flops and one of the girls had on cut-offs. They went and sat down anyway, and then were furious because they were not getting waited on. Security was called and there was big scene.
I don't understand what the big deal is to dress appropriatly at the sit down restaurants if you want to eat there.

Just thought I'd give you a heads up on the fact that the dress codes are enforced.

Have a great time!!!!

Excellent point.

So many times people think the dress the code is just a suggestion and it is not. It is enforced.

It's not like it's a very strict dress code to begin with in terms of what is allowed to be worn.
