Wow! What a great trip! The week is pretty much a blur at this point but I will attempt to provide the highlights:

We arrived on Saturday, we breezed through the airport, they keep improving that airport, we had transportation by Brant's and we were at the resort by 10:45 am got checked in and out to the sexy pool we go! Each staff member we saw recognized us and came over to welcome us back, Alex slid my 1st beer across the bar before I even asked for it. He did have to ask Rosa what she wanted since she seldom drinks the same thing twice in a row!

We started meeting people right away and started with Roy, Sandy was in water aerobics during the time so we got to meet her later, we also met their friends Jim and Karen. They were all a blast to hang with. Later that day we also met Troy and Tara, Mignon and John and many others. Spent the day at the pool laughing and drinking with our new friends.

Sunday and Monday we pretty much did the same, hanging at the pool all day, enjoying the people and the activities. On Tuesday, Troy had arranged a catamaran cruise to Isla. We took the small catamaran which only holds 10 people so we filled it with our own group of Troy and Tara, ourselves, Mignon and John, Mike and Deb (honeymooners) and Tyler and Kristin. This trip was a blast. We have gone to the island many times but this cruise was one of the best ever. I totally over did it however with Tequilla but we really had a blast and I would recommend this trip to anyone. The boat is brand new, features A/C, bathrooms, bedrooms, great music etc, and with the smaller group, we really had a great chance to socialize and get to know each other. Got back to the resort about 5 or so and don't remember much after that! ( sorry to those that do remember) lol

Wednesday, was a very quiet day, in addition to being hung over, I caught a terrible cold with an ear infection. Went to the drug store bought ear drops and Contact, it rained a good part of the day and was cloudy which suited me just fine. Said good by to Roy, Sandy, Jim and Karen, Troy and Tara.

We hung at the sexy pool the rest of the week, I was starting to feel better later in the week and we hung out by the pool the rest of the time. hanging out with Bob and Shelia, Mignon and John, Bart and Annette, and so many others, hopefully I am not leaving people out.

On Saturday we finally met Monique and Glenn, another great couple, hung at the pool all day and had dinner together, then went to Nice Shoes. The girls danced their buns off, Rosa and Monique hit the cages, Bob is also a dancing machine, and Shelia joined the party a little later. It was our last night so it was a great way to go out.

We only left the resort a couple times once to go to Hooters for wings with Roy and Sandy and Jim and Karen and once for the booze cruise. Our night time highlights were a late night ocean dip with Troy and Tara, and Roy and Sandy, and the last night at Nice Shoes was also a lot of fun. We had dinner at the Italian a couple times (it was the only one open) but we mostly stayed in.

As far as construction concerns, I wouldn't worry about them, If you didn't look for it you may not even notice.

Sorry if I have rambled but it is all a blur at this point, but as always we met tons of great people both new and from past trips, if I left anyone out I am sorry but we love you all!

I will post some pics later and send CD's to others who were on the trip.

Sounds like an almost perfect trip. Isn't amazing how the staff actually remember you when they see so many other people throughout the year? I was shocked when we arrived for our 2nd time and they not only recognized us but I believe Chinos actually called us by name.

It would have been great to be there at the same time....but we always have May!! Or you could sneak in a trip before that. :lol:

We are actually thinking about a 3 or 4 night trip possibly in February. Not sure yet but possible.

Excellent! So glad you guys had a good time - cant wait to get back there ourselves!! Hopefully felix will leave well alone - and hopefully this other little weather system just behind it wont develop into much!!

Sounds like you guys had a great time . Sorry it's taken so long for me to reply. I'm trying to convince e veryone at work to agree to my schedule for next year. Marie started at my workplace this week so she won't get vacation time till next Sept. but, if they go w/my schedule then we will be on a long break the last week of May and then she will be able to go

Anyways wish we could have gone w/you guys hopefully in May 2008 :wink:

I know, we hate we missed you too. The hurricane turned out to be a nonevent but if we had been scheduled a week earlier we would have likely canceled too. We will have to do it again!!
