I don't know where the non-smpking rooms are....we have never asked for a smoking room and have gotten one each time. Our rooms were always ocean view and the location was fine.

Didn't we hear somewhere previously that all of Cancun was going non-smoking in enclosed buildings?? More and more cities in the US are doing this. As we don't smoke in our home going outside is not a big deal for us so non-smoking rooms are not a big deal. Someone will have to let us know how they are presenting this at check in.

Yes, that is true. The law should have been in by now but it definitely isnt and I'm not sure why....I think it is something to do with it being poorly written and easily circumvented.

You'd have thought they might have brought in a law against 3 people on a moped without helmets or climbing scaffold in flip flops before a smoking ban, but we're still waiting for them too.

Welcome to Mexico!

if it is then it'll definately make it easier for us quitters to stay quitters.. *L*... even as a smoker last year it got pretty disgusting in the sports bar with a few people smoking.

we would go outside to smoke just because we're used to doing that here.

i am a non smoker (of cigs at least lol) and I think it is really stupid that cigs are legal, but you can't do it anywhere... what is the point??!?!? If big tobacco wasn't padding the pockets of politians then there would be a WAR ON TOBACCO like there is a WAR ON "DRUGS" now. What a racket!

Down with Prohibition!!!!!

I like a good cigar, quit smoking cigs 2 years ago. As far as making them illegal that will never happen. Politicians cannot live without the tax revenue, and who else can they constantly viliafy? Mike
