Default Some basic FAQ's about Temptations Cabo

Temptations Cabo is actually located in the town of San Jose del Cabo

For those of you who use Google Earth or GPS units, here are the coordinates for Temptations Cabo.

Latitude: 23° 2'27.11"N
Longitude: 109°42'8.93"W

The airport code for the Los Cabos airport is SJD

Temptations Cabo is located approximately 9 miles from the airport

For any miscellaneous purchases(like things your forgot to bring - LOL), there is a large Mega store directly across the road from Temptations Cabo

Cabo San Lucas is where all the hot clubs are located, so if you want to go clubbing in the evenings it is a 20 mile trip from the resort.

Hey Cokewithlime, Do you know if your able to buy alcohol at the Mega Store? If not is there anywhere close to the resort that you can? I would like to get a bottle of better Vodka like Gray Goose to bring back to the resort for shots. Also do you know what kind of beer is served at the resort? Any brand name alcohol served?

Thanks,
Helen

You can find almost anything you want including liquor in the Mega store.

All the Original Resorts properties (Temptations-Cancun*Cabo, Desire, etc) do group contracts for alcohol and beer - so what you have available, brand wise, at Temptations Cancun you will find with maybe a few exceptions at all the other properties
ie - the beer selection at Desire is Sol on tap and DosXX in cans

Default Resort Nightlife

Anyone know about what happens at the resort at night?
I read in one of the forums about a Disco. Is it the same theme each night?
What about shows? Are there any shows?
We have been to Temptations in Cancun and it was a lot of fun. I just wonder if it is similar.[/list]

I am going to Temptation Cancun in July 2010. I went to Temptation Cabo last year, August 2009. Cabo was nice and probably more laid back than Cancun. At least that's the impression I get so far.

If you want to get off the resort for a while and head to Cabo San Lucas, I suggest you try taking the bus down. Last time I was there it stoped very close to the resort and was a straight ride into Cabo and was way less expensive then taking a cab.

Default cab prices?

Another piece of info that might be nice if anyone knows: what should we expect to pay in cab fare from the hotel? Thanks!

I think it was about 30 dollars from Cabo where the night clubs are located to the hotel. Nice to go with another couple and share the fare. As for the bringing outside booze to TTR our friends we met last year had purchased a few bottles of stuff from the Mega Super market and had the bartenders make drinks using thier oun booze. Not and issue if you want to bring your own stuff......

No you can bring your own liquor they will even hold it for you at the bar and make your drinks with what you bring. We had a friend who brought Crown and had it at the bar the whole time. If you run out and want to buy more they will get it for you.

Hello,
Autumn and I are thinking about coming down the 25th - 30th of November. Trying to book now and wondering what the cab ride to the hotel from the airport is? Is it like Cancun where you have to pay the airport tax? The website we are booking through is $75 Round Trip, that sounds great compared to Cancun, any advise?
Thanks,
Nick and Autumn

Default Disco Play Room

We went when it was Desire. We had such a good tiime. We were wondering if anyone has gone since it changed and if the play room is still in use? We want to plan a trip for Summer 2011. It is only a 2 hour flight for us, so pretty close. We did have a chance to vist Temptation and Desire Cancun as well. FUN places!

The Playroom is only open and active during the Desire weeks at Temptations Cabo.

We were ther in August of 2010 and the pool was hot!

We had been to Cancun many times but got a great deal at Cabo. We loved it, was one of the most relaxing trips we've ever had (loved Cancun also).

Cancun was wilder than Cabo was, but we met ALOT of great friends at Cabo.

A group of 5 of us went into Cabo one day by taxi, and it was $40, so it was fairly cheap. I wasnt that impressed with the city of Cabo compared to Cancun, but we had a great day there.

If you go, just make sure you do EVERYTHING they have going on, theme nights, parties, and activities around the pool. If you join in, you will have agreat time!

Also, I highly recommend the 'COUPLES MASSAGE' in the spa, alot of fun!

Hi there!

Just got back from TTR Cabo - Pool is heated and PERFECT!

Weather is beautiful! not a cloud in sight all last week - probably mid seventies - the sun warms the skin perfectly but never felt like I had to get in the pool to "cool off". Slight breeze, but not the least bit chilly during the day.

Bring a sweater or wrap for the evening though if you plan on sitting out at the bar. It cooled down when the sun went down. Great for the Jacuzzi though!!!!!!!!

Have a great time!
