We just got back. Report, opinions

Wife and I just returned after a 4 night stay. We are both 49, in very good shape, very young at heart and silly. The lobby here is a little drab and there was loud construction next door. Other than these 2 items this is the BEST resort we have been to (including Temp-Cancun). Service was wonderful and friendly. resort grounds were manicured and well landscaped. The lighting after dark was magical. The Asian restaurant prepped our food right in front of us and it was tasty. The Italian spot had Italian music playing with candles dispersed throughout. Super lasagna. Strolling through the grounds after dinner was romantic.
When we arrived there were only a dozen people at the resort (really!). fortunately the ladies were topless at the pool, and during pool volleyball, so we had a ball with just a few people. We all went to the rooftop hot tub for happy hour, topless. Good adult typ conversations.
On our third day a large lifestyle group arrived. These are cool, friendly people. The only negative was that the resort went to a buffet only option at this point and also the rooftop tub got real crowded and scary naked. We are not prudes at all, got some naked ourselves, but dicks and butts in our faces is too much. There WAS outright sex acts taking place on the couches above the hot tub after 10 pm. Full blown sex...
The Melange Bar outdoors in the middle of the resort is their best item. It is well lit with couches scattered throughout with live music. we danced every night and met many people. We never even saw the Disco. No need.
Yes, we had many chances to swing. My wife is beautiful and stacked, but not a swinger. I actually was very tempted once by a smokin' brunette my age but even after at least 10 tequilas still managed to pull out of that tailspin. Although that 30 second kiss haunts me a little.
The breakfast is superb in a nice setting. The beach sand is surprisingly closer to white than brown. the water is dark blue and quite pretty. Playing topless pool volleyball is waaaaaayyyy too much fun AND watching channel 26 while ww were getting ready each night set the sexy mood. It sure seemed like the scenes were one girl taking on 2 WELL endowed men. I hope she got paid a lot, hee hee.
This is not a resort for singles but 2 good lookin' lads from canada were there and said they got laid evry night with married women. I do NOT doubt this at all. If you are married with a romantic bent and a light hearted attitude you will love this place. The rooms are not the ritz but who cares at these prices? we never even left the resort but we do think 4 days was plenty. we will go back next year. Post your questions here!
Bill PS We both dress up for dinners and we think it really does amp up the romance and the mood. Pack a little more , spend a little more. Venus, Vic' Secret and fredericks have sharp dresses for women at decent prices, 20-30$.

we have been to temptation cancun twice and we are trying to decide between the two temptations and hedo for this year....any opinion?

We've been to TT Cancun, H2 & H3 in Jamaica... H2 was definitely the wildest of the resorts. It could have been the weekend we were there. H3 was pretty dead when we were there Cancun is always fun. The wife prefers MX to Jamaica, so we are going to Temptation Cabo in a few days!

Geoand kelly, We sure hope your choice is good and you have a great time! Please take time to post a report when you return. Wife and I turn 50 in Sept and are trying to choose between many islands...We are concerned about Temp Cabo hanging on with the "recession" here and that huge resort going up next door....Kid, it is tough to pick between the resorts you mentioned as we all know these trips do tend to depend on the great people you meet, or don't. Temp cabo is laid out as rectangle with sweet grounds and lighting in the middle with the Melange outdoor bar at night. This just is better laid out to us than Temp Cancun. lastly, that rooftop jacuzzi is so fine for late night fun as the bar stays open. Keep in mind, we are not swingers so the Temp cabo will probably seem tame after your visits to Hedo..Of course, anything CAN happen up there as we certainly witnessed. We think 4 nights at Temp Cabo is plenty as we never left. 30 minutes down to Cabo's nightspots seems like a buzz kill to us. Besides, those nightspots won't have any more fun type people than the resort you are already at...Good luck!

Premature report: We're still here & loving it! Haven't found one of the negative things we heard about..... Room is awesome, food is awesome, staff is fun & friendly...2 days in.

We returned from Temptation Cabo Thursday night & we had so much fun we needed a little time to recover to write a review. The resort exceeded our expectations in every catagory.
The rooms were nice & comfortable, eventhough we spent very little time in them. Found the bed to very cofortable.
The food was very good in our opinion. There was always something yummy available. Suki & the Italian restraunt were our favorite, although the breakfast buffet was right there in the hunt. The hosts & wait staff were incredible.
The drinks were very tasty. The bartenders were on the spot & friendly tip or no tip. No complaint about the alcohol content, for sure!
We had a couple of massages, which were awesome. The staff in the Spa were incredible.
The pool & hottub were always warm & comfortable. They were also sparkling clean. Always plenty of clean towels available. Pool beds were a great place to get a nap in.
The entertainment was very, very good. They worked so hard to make everything fun & exciting. We absolutely fell in love with these guys & gals. Cesar, from the entertainment staff, went to the hospital to help out one of the guests who only spoke French to translate. That is just an example of the kind of wonderful people that work at this resort.
The mood of the place was fun & sexy. It is adult for sure, but not over the top about it. For us it was just about right.
Every member of the staff that we had any encounter with were nothing less than fantastic, maids to managers. We do want to throw a special shout to some of our favorites, although I am sure we will forget someone who made our vacation special.
Special thanks in no paticular order to; Cesar, Lola, Kimmi, Tony, Jesus, Christain, Ivan, Deter, "El Burro",etc... Keep up the good work, you all are stars!

We're wondering if they are still using the flame torches up at the hot tub...
We've never seen anything like them anywhere else.

We were at Cancun Desire a month ago and everyone froze their tails off when they weren't actually in the hot tub at night. The area was experiencing a near record cold spell.

The flame torches would have been wonderful; they were one of the things we really enjoyed about Desires Cabo...
Nothing like relaxing up there on the beds with the torches flaming...

We just got back. We only got to stay 3 days, but it was great. We were going down for 5, but I got sick and we had to miss a few days. It is very laid back and relaxing. The beds around the pool are the greatest. I do recommend tipping just a little, you don't have to, but a little goes along way. 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM is the party time and the hot tub. The beds are up there also. The drinks are great they are small but they put plenty of alcohol in them, and you can get as much as you want. The food was OK, and when I say that the quality is fine it's the quantity I had an issue with. I'm a big guy (6,1 and 280 lbs) and I workout alot so I eat alot. I had to ask for seconds and it was no problem. We will definitely be back. It was the most relaxing vaction i've ever been on. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. I highly recommend the long couples massage. We got the short one (25 mins) and both wished we would have gotten the longer one. All age and size folks are there we are in our 40's and never felt out of place. The weather was great low 80s during the day hi 60s at night. Like I said earlier, on the plane ride home we were talking about going back.

Quick question! Someone said the beds are comfortable there? I wanted to make sure. I've never been to this resort but looking for a change. In the past I always thought the beds at Temptaions in Cancun were hard as a rock and brought something to help. Any more info. on that would be great! I'm looking forward to getting away from all of the snow and finally seeing some sun! After 9 trips in Cancun I know it will be a blast!

The fire pits were lit up at the hot tub at night. You could try to have sex but it's not allowed. Once the bar is shut down you probabaly could get away with it. I don't think the playroom is open anymore. The beds in the rooms are a little hard but not unbearable. The pillows are nice. I'm an airline pilot and probably sleep in almost 200 different beds a year, it's not the worst i've slept in. The beds by the pool are very comfortable. If I can sum up our stay it was very laid back and relaxing, we will definately go back.

Thanks for the info, BigBear. What time does the jacuzzi bar close and do they put the chain up so you can't go up there? Who would patrol it and tell you you can't get jiggy with it on the beds up there?

The playroom was a little room just off the disco itself and had a cloth "door" hanging on it. If anyone is going there any time soon, can they please check it out and find out what's there, if anything? Maybe they use it as a "quiet" room for folks to enjoy or maybe it's just been "boarded up".

I think we were told the Hot Tub closed at ether 3 or 4:00 AM, but I think if anyone is still up there drinking they keep it open. We would usually go up about 8 or 9:00 PM and usually there was just a few people there. I found out that 5 to 7:00 PM is the happening time at the hot tub. It wouldn't be hard to go under the chain they put up, and as long as you wern't making much noise I don't think you would get caught.

First trip to Temptation this march but spent a week in HEDO two years ago with wife. In the middle of the trip, I couldn't tell you what time, day, or date it was. It was the best trip ever. Only rule at the nude beach area is you must be nude. And I mean the only rule. Wide open. Rooms not so great, but who cares....rdubnpk
