Default Cabo vs Cancun

We were at TTR Cancun last year and had a blast even though we had mostly crappy weather. We love to party and participate in the acitivites. We wanted to visit cabo this year but I am having second thoughts after all the review on cancuncare. Can anyone help that has been to both.

We have been to both resorts. Cancun 5 times and Cabo 1 and we are going back to Cabo in April for 10 days. We enjoy both resorts. Cancun is much larger and has much more nightlife as you are only 10min. from the major clubs. Cancun resort has a more party feel which naturally comes with having over 800 people in the resort all looking to party. Cabo is a more romantic and beautiful setting but with only around 120 rooms it has alot less people around. The resort offers alot of the same daytime and nightime on resort activities but if you want to go to the clubs then Cancun would be a better choice. We are looking forward to Cabo and we just got back from Cancun a week ago. Holidays are what you make of them, don't sweat the small stuff. OH YA, GET THAT HOT TUB READY FOR US!!!!!!

We were at Cabos February for the Temptation grand opening and then were at the Temptation Cancun in December of this year. Both have plus and minuses but we are returning to Cabos March 6th. Weather is much better than Cancun and the restaurant reservation system in Cancun is a mess...Those reasons sent us back to Cabos

I've been to both many times. Cabo's biggest advantage, especially this time of year, is the gigantic hot tub that opens at noon. Hot tub swim-up bar opens at 5:30 and stays open until 3 am. Lovely setting on top of the gym with fires, cushions, bathrooms and beds. During the day, the main pool is heated as well. In Cancun only the hardiest of Canadians are typically hanging out in the pool. Although 2 years ago the pool in Cabo was perfectly warm, last year it was iffy - cold one day and warm the next. I haven't been able to get an answer on how it's working this year - I was last there in early November and the ambient temperature was fine.

Cabo's outside bar for the 7 - 11 pm crowd is better as well. Usually good entertainment, fun atmosphere. And then the disco is usually pretty hot from 11:30 - 1 OR 2 AM.

However, Cabo doesn't not have other local nightlife - Cabo San Lucas is a good 30 minutes away. If you're staying a week, take a cab and go for the whole day/night to experience it. If you're only going for a few days you probably won't want to leave the club anyway.

Occupancy has been down in Cabo since it changed to Temptation so sometimes it gets half empty. But no matter where/which one you go, your good time will be up to you. We ALWAYS have a good time at either .... except for when it rains non-stop in Cancun...... oh yeah, and the no hot tub thing in Cancun. It can get chilly and boring in the evenings in Cancun unless you leave to go to another club ... but why, when you're at an all-inclusive?

Have fun!
