Regular week vs Desire week

My husband & I are trying to pick a week to vacation. This will be our first trip to an "Adult Resort" & cant decide if the Desire week in May might be a bit too much. Our only other date option is the week before the Desire Take Over Week & I am worried it will be dead? We are a fun couple & definitely going to party so occupancy is important to us. The swinger thing isnt an issue for us. Im just not sure what to expect with the clothing optional thing? Does it just become like a nudist resort? People eating dinner naked? Please help Any feedback is appreciated!

People are classy and abide by the rules with the nudity thing...and the lifestyle thing too.

You'll see people at the hot tub naked and around the pool, but eating at any of the restaurants people will be clothed like any other time of year.
The rules stipulate that.
Some swinger stuff may occur up at the hot tub bed areas (or in the tub after midnight) but it mostly occurs in couples' rooms out of sight.

We'll be at TTR Cabo in 72 hours ...but we wish the work skeds allowed us to be there for Desire week.
We returned from Desires Cancun one month ago--it was fun, but we liked Desires Cabo much better for various reasons.

Go for it! You guys will have an absolute ball.

The Desire week is fantastic. Other than the clothing optional around the pool and jacuzzi, another difference is that the resort is couples only during that week. We are not in the lifestyle and have been to the Desire week in Cabo. It is a great crowd, the resort has a high level of "sexy", and the guests that are involved with the lifestyle respect those that are not. If you have an open mind, I would recommend going to that Desire week, we can't wait. Any additional questions, let me know.

Is everyone nude at these areas? Is just topless ok? Will I be the pencil in the pen pack if I keep both pieces of my (very small) bikini on? Thanks for the info

No worries at all.
Most are nude, but not all. You can wear a itsy-bitsy bikini and/or be topless and be right at home. A lot of 'sexy and fun' is attitude.

That said, people that we have met the last few years at clothing-optional places all said that when they finally decided to shed the clothing they regretted not doing it sooner...

By the pool, I would say most people are naked or topless. Topless is completely acceptable. We hardly go nude around the pool at all because we have fair skin and no one has ever made an issue with us. Trust me, no one has more clothes on than us and we have never felt out of place. At the jacuzzi, a little more people are nude compared to the pool. Now, we tend to go nude in th jacuzzi after the sun goes down, but again do what you want and no one will judge you. There is no pressure to be naked at all.
