Our opinion of Cabo Feb 22 - Mar 1

We just returned from Temptation Cabo and will give our opinions about Cabo for those who are undecided between Cabo or Cancun (we have been to both)

Wait staff is excellent in the restaurants some called us by first name? I’m sure they had to look this up somewhere but a nice touch ...very impressive
Food was Excellent in the specialty restaurants
Buffet could have been bigger but no complaints at all
No scramble for chairs in the morning until the weekend and then if you were down by 730-800 am when the sun peaked over the resort you were fine
Pool was very warm
Topless at the pool was no issues and everyone was comfortable with each other no matter what the size, shape, or volume hahah
Hot tub was a blast. Not too hot not too cold although a few couples had a tough time realizing they were in temptations and not to Desire anymore... Had no issues with couples going at it but comon... use the beds or your room not right beside us in the hot tub..Kinda gross when it really comes down to it
Great bartenders at the hot tub bar, the pool bar they were ok but long days and you could tell they were very tired. They worked hard but come 200 pm they were loosing their humor
Cruising waiters around the pool Tony and Conrad were good but very busy which meant if you didn’t call them over they didn’t stop. It was ok I am not that lazy that I can’t get up and go to the bar
Night time activities I can’t comment about because they started so late we never made it to one show. In Cancun they started at 900 or 930 because they wrapped things up early so the staff could get everyone loaded on the bus for the bar trips. Cabo they started at 1030 or 1130 and that broke my threshold. No matter how hard I tried it wasn’t happening due to the excellent red wine they serve with dinner! Lights out by 1000 pm EVERYNIGHT
145 rooms in cabo and seemed to be less than half the size of cancun but very well kept grounds and was very clean
Entertainment staff tried hard but struggled to get people to participate in activities and only had adult activities on Friday Sat and Sun. Sport activities through the week but very little that were "Adult orientated"

So the big question ...Cabo or Cancun next year?
Both Connie and I (Steve) decided we will return to Cancun next year
Lots of quite time at Cabo if you are into that (and some is nice) but the party is way better and earlier in Cancun but any way you look at it the service in Cabo is second to none and cant be beat.

Bar trips are in cancun only they take you a bar on certain nights for 45 bucks and get you in and seated and the drinks comming they the staff leaves ...you find your way home. They are announced around the pool through the day and yes its the entertainment crew that takes you there by bus
Booze cruize wasnt available in cabo that we seen but went on a catamaran snorkling and was all you can drink and a light lunch ...It was excellent and fun but only about 16 people. crew on board were awsome at keeping the drinks coming as well

Thanks for the trip report.. I do have a question.. you mentioned that you were not able to make it past 10pm.. I totally get that..lol.. but can you confirm that there is partying going on after 10pm, did you hear that it was a good party at night or was it just really that quiet there... just courious.. we are booked for April and while we enjoy quiet in the day.. we!!! are night owls... lol

There were people from many different resorts so I assume there may have been kids but not on the one we went on.. abour 16 people that day but the captain said there were 40 booked but half didnt show? I expect he gets paid regardless because you have to pay in advance.
well worth the money and the crew members were spectactular. never a time there wasnt a beer in mour hands hand haha

Just got back as well, for Partygirl, there is partying everynight in Cabo till 3, especially in the hot tub. That being said, it was only a few hard core people going, like 5 or 6 till that late. Often the disco would only have 2 people. Melange bar was usually good till 12:30 when the entertainment ended then whoever wanted to keep going went to the hot tub. Bar staff Jesus, Germaine and Octavio are heroes, tip them well and they'll keep it going a bit past 3 if you can handle. Warning, there is no food after 2 so stop by the pool buffet to chow down on the way to the tub. Lingerie night was the best night, lots of guests involved, a few guys (3). Hope that helps. Haven't been to Cancun but everybody said Cabo is nothing compared to Cancun as far as partying goes and keep in mind, Cabo is half the size. No resort organized bar trips that we knew but a trip to Cabo San Lucas to Cabo Wabo is definitely worth it. Anyways, my second day home and I'm still hung over. Have a great trip!

we returned from cabos this past saturday and have nothing but great memories, a few party injuries, and one hell of a detox in progress! we have stayed at both cancun and cabos, and i don't know if it was the people we met, or the smaller atmosphere, but we can both easily say we had more fun in cabos!

the food was great, the drinks kept flowing, and we had no problems making it past 11pm...making it up for 11am for breakfast though proved to be more of a challenge!!! the wait staff was excellent - noe, at the italian; egar, at the japanese; everyone at the buffet; germain, octavio at the hot tub bar (they're the reason we could never make breakfast!!) conrad and tony at the pool bar - all were excellent!

theres more of an "on site" party atmosphere in cabos...in cancun everyone was jumping on a bus to leave once the shows were done. here, once the shows were done, and the melange bar started winding down (usually after the show around 11) the hot tub party began!! this went well into the early morning hours - so stop for a snack before hand if youre hungry or not!! we caught on to getting a "pizza to go" made at about 2am - run that baby up to your room and when you get to it at about 5am you'll be glad you did!

lingerie night was awesome!!!! pack something special and dont forget all accessories that make the outfit!! (do i need to mention how awesome her boots looked!?!?) token males - props to you boys!! men - get some nice undies before you head down - you'll have more fun if you do!!

a90638couple - so you will be there during Desire week. The way the women dress is generally different during the Desire week compared to Temptation. During the Desire week, women will wear sexier clothes during dinner. It could be lace, tight, short, long, whatever you may like. Don't be shy with the clothing.
